trying to give a froakie I got as a starter an ability and its saying its illegal

Sooo uhh yea kinda new to this, was just messing around pkhex and wanted to give the froakie the protean ability, but when I gave it that the

 

triangle symbol thingy appeared on the top . Anyone know any fixes? just attached the screens from pkhex incase anything might be useful

Froakie has to be bred to be able to have Protean.

The starter Pokemon can't have their hidden abilities. So you would have to catch a Frogadier with Protean in the Friend Safari and use it to breed a Froakie.

I see but is there any way around it though? Like make my froakie not a starter?

What would a froakie look like if it were obtained with a hidden ability?

Where can you get a hidden ability froakie?

How do you use PKHeX correctly to create new Pokémon from specific types of encounters?

Is there some sort of database hidden in the program?

Have I explored the program to find if there's a feature for this?
