I tried to click the "Spawns" button It doesn't show the map or edit the specific location.

That "editor" requires you to dump the map images with another tool and put them in a specific folder. It's only a visualization tool, it does not edit anything.

you can do it with an older version, , it's a long and boring edit, you need to go into field edit > area > and then choose in the list one of the 5 localisations and then in the sub-list, edit for each one, which pokemon appear, levels etc orbyn (alpha pokemon) etc

it doesn't work with the latest version as it seems there is something broken that prevent to see files
