Yakuza3714 Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 Whenever I try to load my save file into PkHex for Brilliant Diamond, I get the error: "Attempted to load an unsupported file type/size. This could be caused by loading a different generation Pokemon file on an unsupported generation or your file is corrupt." I used checkpoint to create this save file, which has worked for me in the past with Pokemon Sword. However, when googling this specific pop-up error, all that I could find was people who were using Citra's save state system instead of the in-game save. Perhaps I am saving it incorrectly on my Switch? (I made sure to change the Blank Save Version to Brilliant Diamond in the Settings but I still got the error) SaveData.bin
Kaphotics Posted February 23, 2022 Posted February 23, 2022 BDSP just updated with a new patch 24 hours ago. The 2022/02/14 version of PKHeX does not support the revised save file format, because how can it predict future savedata formats? Wait until support is added.
Yakuza3714 Posted February 23, 2022 Author Posted February 23, 2022 Oh shoot, I didn't realize. My bad.
Tyr_Starlight Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 I am getting the same error. What information would be needed to help me figure out why it's not working? I am using RJ emulator. SaveData.bin
theSLAYER Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Make sure you’re saving using the menu from the game, and not using save states Make sure your PKHeX is up to date Make sure you’re not trying to load saves from ROM hacks
