Shaymin62 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 remember the upload bin on the old site? you could download lots of things like the fan made events and things like the NPOWER pikachu. i think it should be brought back. how about you guys?
Torte de Lini Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 No, many members failed to follow the rules and it caused more trouble than benefits, to be honest.

No, many members failed to follow the rules and it caused more trouble than benefits, to be honest. Well, i agree that many members failed to follow the rules uploading .pkm files but there should be an upload bin for .pkm files made by the members of the site. If there are any fan made events made by the members, they should be deleted because they aren't legit/legal. I myself like to upload .pkm files to share with the other members of the site. In my opinion the upload bin was a great place on the database to share .pkm files with the other members. I believe the upload bin should be brought back but with limitations.

randomspot555 Posted April 17, 2009 Posted April 17, 2009 I think the upload capabilities of the forum are just fine. Make a specific forum for uploading files, with the same 5 or 6 categories the upload bin had and give them stickied megathreads.

Poryhack Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 In case you haven't noticed, all users can now attach pkms as well as various other file types to their posts. If you have a pkm file to share, I'd suggest creating a topic in the appropriate forum and attaching the files.
Torte de Lini Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 I'll create the topic. I'll see if I can improvise some rules. I'll make it in the Pokemon Requests folder, since it seems to be the most suitable there.
Torte de Lini Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=700 I created a topic imitating an upload bin. If you anything to contribute or would liked to be changed, please tell me so.
Gallade Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 It's true that you can now attach pokemon in your posts but the upload bin was much better in my oppinion because you had a overview of all uploaded things. Now, if you search for something like a fanmade event or something like that, you have to search through all the topics. I used to look in the upload bin for funny fanmade stuff with strange stats or something like that but now people don't think that it's worth to start a new topic for things like that. conclusion: bring back the database! G.
randomspot555 Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 conclusion: bring back the database! G. There's one forum where like 99% of the stuff is posted. It's not hard to find. (Pokesav Requests)
FLOOTENKERP Posted May 19, 2009 Posted May 19, 2009 I liked the upload bin, it was original. Making a thread feels weird, especially if you were adapted to the upload bin.
