Clear Posted November 24, 2009 Posted November 24, 2009 (edited) Since there is no comprehensive guide to Safari zone, I was thinking to ask some questions that are bothering me. I would have asked this in simple questions, but I don't think it is that simple. - How does days advance? I'm pretty sure you cannot just set your DS clock all the way ahead in order to get those Pokemon that you need X days to get. Does it advance as the number of days you played the game? So for every time the DS clock tick pass to 12:00am, that count as a day? Days advance by Game time played, I advanced my game by 120 days on an emulator and got Day 100 Pokemon. - Upgrades, are the upgrades on the blocks visible on the switch panel? Or do they just show how many blocks you have set up? Upgrades are invisible. Use Bulbapedia to find out how many blocks you need, it is better to count your days anyways, since Serebii's is quite confusing. What you need to do is actually set up those blocks as serebii's page tells you. That means you need to have 25 Rock Blocks at Day 30 to get Trapinch without counting the bonuses. - Those blocks in the "other" section, what do they do other than taking up space? Shadowlord757 Posted July 24, 2010 Posted July 24, 2010 Honestly, blocks werent the best idea. I think that it wouldve been better just to add pokemon after beating red or something, not haveing to wait to get new blocks, then wait a long time for the pokemon to appear, but looking as it is, the blocks are helpful, but not the best idea.
Bassman Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 My main complaint about the place is that some runs you catch Pokemon with pretty much every ball and the next time you hardly catch a thing. Figuring that the annoying tactics (to me) seems to make very little difference I just throw the ball instantly. I always find the chart of Safari Zone Pokemon at Gamefaqs frustrating as it can be difficult to locate the Pokemon that you want. I loaded the information to an Excel Spreadsheet and can now access it in alphabetical order of Pokemon. As well as Gamefaqs there is a complete guide to the Safari Zone in the HG/SS Volume 2 Strategy Guide.

I agree, they should have added Pokemon after awhile so there could be a variety of Pokemon later in the game when you come back to the Safari Zone.
