RenegadeRaven Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) Lately, I've been shiny hunting distortion world Giratina in Pokémon Platinum, but it's been taking forever. Now I'm wondering if it can even shine for me, so I started looking into TSV for Gen 4 but can only find stuff for Gen 6 and 7. So how is TSV calculated in Gen 4? Because what I've found is TID xor SID = TSV, but when I put my IDs in it gives me 0. Edited July 1, 2018 by Regnum
Delta Blast Burn Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 I'm about 90% positive platinum giritina is shiny locked.

Delta Blast Burn Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) Any Pokemon with any PID can be shiny given the correct TID/SID combination. The only exception I know of is magearna. But that is because there is no shimy sprite programed into the ROM Edited July 1, 2018 by Delta Blast Burn 1
Delta Blast Burn Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 If you went the RNG route here is a somewhat old yet still valid guide. Click me
