Yasuo Posted April 30, 2018 Posted April 30, 2018 (edited) I tried catching Zapdos again, and reset the game's Zapdos event flag through Pkhex. I went to the Power Plant, and tried finding Zapdos multiple times, and it seems that the event flag did not reset. Looking for any ideas why this may be the case Any help is appreciated! Thanks Edited April 30, 2018 by Yasuo
Yasuo Posted April 30, 2018 Author Posted April 30, 2018 If anyone wants to take a look at the SAV file, I can upload that here to make things easier.

I can try it again, hopefully it works Edit: Didn't work; Don't see the Zapdos still. Am I missing anything else? The first time I tried, I saved it outside the Power Plant, and reset the Zapdos event flag. The second time I did that + unchecked Zapdos from "Pokemon caught" in Pokedex. Neither of those worked so far. I have uploaded the Pokemon Red Save file saved in front of the Power Plant with Zapdos event flag already reset. theSLAYER Posted May 1, 2018 Posted May 1, 2018 @Kaphotics PKHeX indeed doesn't seem to work. (I couldn't do the reset; I assume user did the reset before he sent the save) Still, Zapdos wasn't in the building. (ran through it, from outside -> in) I could only enable it after using this code, from here: 0100D4D7 0100B0D5 @Yasuo here's a save, saved before Zapdos. (I tried to reset the other legends too, in case the mapping was swapped, tho I'm sure Kaphotic just confirmed its correct above)red test.sav
Yasuo Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 @theSLAYER Thanks for the help (and the save file)! I appreciate your help a lot I was wondering how you enabled it from using that code you linked? I'm just asking out of curiosity.

Yasuo Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 @theSLAYER @theSLAYER So if I wanted to reset the Mewtwo event flag, would I go to Tools-> Debug -> Disassemble on the emulator? and change the hex code to the corresponding one from the link?

No, just use the code in the link as a cheat code. Like, look "cheat" somewhere in the UI. (They're there on BGB and VBA)
Yasuo Posted May 1, 2018 Author Posted May 1, 2018 (edited) @theSLAYER I tried inputting the following codes: (Mewtwo) 01005FD8 0100C0D5 into each of the tabs in the below image. None of them triggered the reset event. Would these codes count as Gameshark or game genie? Or would they go under the RAM Search/Watch codes? Edited May 1, 2018 by Yasuo

I'm not sure, but once it works Mewtwo should immediately pop up. (View cheat list, then edit it in, should be gameshark)
Yasuo Posted May 2, 2018 Author Posted May 2, 2018 @theSLAYER Thanks for giving me the directions & help. I managed to do Zapdos, Moltres, and Mewtwo by myself using that method. However, when I try using the same steps for Articuno, it doesn't seem to trigger the reset for event flag. I believe this may have something to do with the boulders in the current, but I'm not sure.
