blutrane Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 yes i hatched them in game then altered them using pokesav
Champloo Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 yes i hatched them in game then altered them using pokesav Well if you hatched them in-game AND THEN loaded them up on pokesav it shouldn't be giving you any problems (I do this all the time) would you mind attaching the Pokemon File so I can check it out?
blutrane Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 this was a hatched lotad i just altered ludi.pkm
Champloo Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 this was a hatched lotad i just altered It turned out fine when I check it. If you want to fix it you can just Nickname it and then Rename it back and it should be fine.
blutrane Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 why won't the app tell me if the trash bytes are valid or not. I am using vB54-8 which version tels me if the they are valid or not?
Champloo Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 why won't the app tell me if the trash bytes are valid or not. I am using vB54-8 which version tels me if the they are valid or not? If I recall Trashbytes are only use on Pal Parked Pokemon and Mystery Gift Pokemon. So that's the reason why.
blutrane Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 sorry another question... does that mean that only those 2 instances require the trashbyte to be corrected? or do i need to always fix the trashbyte when using pokesav?
Sabresite Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 Because hatched pokemon can be renamed by the original trainer, and often are evolved during the process, the trash bytes are usually removed or overwritten. With this, it is futile to check the trashbytes of the pokemon. PPSE will have full support for hatched Pokemon by using string layers, however that is outside the scope of the Legality Checker.
