TehReelK41 Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 (edited) Forums Specific RulesPost threads in the appropriate forum. It should be pretty clear where any given thread goes, but if it isn't just post it in one of the general boards and a staff member will move it if necessary. Keep in mind that all of the editing forums have a sub-forum for help. Any questions or requests for help belong there and not in the parent forum. This rule will be flexible for new users but repeat offenders will face consequences. Do not stretch the page. Page stretching is done when someone posts an extremely large image or amount of text and it causes the page to stretch horizontally or vertically. If you have a large image, long code, or other material that may stretch the page, put it in between spoiler tags so that other members can read around it comfortably.[/ you say you should never stretch the page, but the project pokemon wiki has almost ALL of the pages stretched ridiculously horizontanally. this makes it hard to read the contents. and it breaks the rule that i have made bigger and bolded to show you which part I am reffering to. EDIT: sorry to annoy you, there is no contradiction. I will now fix the one wiki page I was reffering to. Edited April 14, 2009 by TehReelK41 pie
damio Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Forums Specific Rules you say you should never stretch the page, but the project pokemon wiki has almost ALL of the pages stretched ridiculously horizontanally. this makes it hard to read the contents. and it breaks the rule that i have made bigger and bolded to show you which part I am reffering to. It quite obviously says Forum Specific Rules. There is no contradiction.
Guested Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Forum specific means forum specific. Not related to the wiki, which is not a forum. BAM!
Poryhack Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 The wiki pages don't seem stretched to me... Can you link to a specific one or provide a screenshot? BTW this belongs in the feedback forum ...what does it have to do with main series discussion?
damio Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 This wiki page is rather stretched out. Some wiki pages will have to be stretched vertically, as the information will only fit into it if it is.
mbruno Posted April 12, 2009 Posted April 12, 2009 Some wiki pages will have to be stretched vertically, as the information will only fit into it if it is. But, the wiki page that was linked to is stretched horizontally. What being stretched vertically have to do with it?
damio Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 But, the wiki page that was linked to is stretched horizontally. What being stretched vertically have to do with it? It wasn't stretched horizontally for me.
Zafur Posted April 13, 2009 Posted April 13, 2009 Some wiki pages will have to be stretched vertically, as the information will only fit into it if it is. I linked to that page to show that it's stretched horizontally. Is it that it's not stretched horizontally on your monitor? I wouldn't know why else you thought I meant vertically. Edit: Late post. ;;
TehReelK41 Posted April 14, 2009 Author Posted April 14, 2009 oh. well...this is a bit embarassing. I didnt notice the bit where it said forum-specific.
Poryhack Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 It's fine, you pointed out a site-related issue and (hopefully) it got fixed.
TehReelK41 Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 i hope so, because it made my computer go BESERK!
