theSLAYER Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Okay before we all jump the gun here, it is a question of possibilities. With existing tools, is it possible to do the following: 1. Bring over new items, such as prison bottle, megastones etc 2. Bring over new formes Other new mechanics, like dexnav and stuff, are obviously probably not going to be brought over. But as for items and their routines, probably isn't too hard right? ______ Side questions, now sure if sav or rom question. Is it possible to change brendan/may into xy character? XY character should be programmed into the rom, and with the right offset in the save, should be able to change character. (unless it's a rom issue, hence the question)
Alpha Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Adding items isn't too hard, unless you need to give them very specific roles (like the prison bottle). Megastones are already a well-known and used concept, so those aren't bad (it's just a class of key item). Adding megas/formes isn't all that bad. Changing the characters is a ROM problem. There is no way with the save (The options for character are M or F, not an offset). Importing the XY characters would be slightly difficult due to the customization.

Yeah I'm worried about the routines for form changing and item changing.. As for the characters thing, If I recall, in XY some users changed the respective faces with some save editing offset. And the XY characters should already be in the rom (for multiplayer battles), so just curious if their routines were left untouched.
