silvertalon215 Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) Hello, just started using this program and it's great. My white 2 game was lost and this is helping me recreate my team. I do have a problem that comes up a lot when checking legality "This Pokémon should have trash bytes." "Pokémon is EV trained but not infected with Pokérus." https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6321515 It doesn't always happen https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6352373 is perfect and I did nothing different on the arcanine I don't get what's wrong and this is the 8th attempt, I kept getting the problem with my magnezone but after I took it's nickname away it was fine. I tried just not nicknaming the arcanine but it still shows "This Pokémon should have trash bytes." I don't get it Edit: And yes I have read the guide. I am following what it says and this is still happening. Happened again with this Golem https://www.pokecheck.org/?pk=6322075 Edited September 30, 2013 by silvertalon215
ReignOfComputer Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 If your Pokemon are for your in-game team then trash bytes shouldn't matter.
silvertalon215 Posted September 28, 2013 Author Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) 1. It annoys me that I got it to work for Gardevoir but not the others when I did nothing different. I really would like to know what I'm doing wrong. 2. was kinda hoping to be able to transfer them to X I think it would matter with pokebank. I'd love to be able to see 'em and their attacks with those graphics. Edited September 28, 2013 by silvertalon215
evandixon Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Pokemon names should end in /FFFF if there's enough room. If there's more, they should end in /FFFF/0000/FFFF, where /0000 is repeated 0 to however many times it will fit in the character limit (numbers and letters after / count as one character). If a nickname is shorter than the original name, instead of /0000, use the original characters. Ex. A nicknaming a Riolu to R R/FFFFolu/FFFF/0000/0000/FFFF (I don't remember off hand the exact character limit, possibly nine because your Gardevoir had no trash byte errors).
