evandixon Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 For me, It's HeartGold that doesn't work How are you playing the game? Cartridge, flashcart, or emulator? If not cartridge, which flashcart or emulator?
theSLAYER Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 For those using desmume, Try troubleshooting with the following steps:. 1. Save twice in game (at the pokedex /Pokemon/items menu ) 2. Soft reset (press L+R+START+SELECT Or Ctrl R) 3. Don't enter "Continue" 4. Emulator menu, export battery file/save file.
Codr Posted July 10, 2013 Posted July 10, 2013 If someone's using Desmume, there is literally nothing extra that needs to be done once you save in-game...
theSLAYER Posted July 11, 2013 Posted July 11, 2013 If someone's using Desmume, there is literally nothing extra that needs to be done once you save in-game... It might be my computer Or emu version, But I once encountered a situation where I saved in game, But my battery file extracted remained corrupted until i soft reset and extract again.

Why are you using a "battery file" when the .dsv that Desmume produces is usable in PokeGen...? Where do you people come up with this stuff?
evandixon Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I'm not sure what he meant, but isn't the dsv a battery file? It's in the Battery folder by default.
Codr Posted July 12, 2013 Posted July 12, 2013 I thought that's what Desmume called what's actually called "Export Backup Memory". If the file used was .dsv file, I don't know what fucked it up unless there are bullshit codes being used that do things that shouldn't be done.

Hahah Codr, I know it makes no sense at all. But it could be a bug of a older version I'm using back then or something, because those were the exact steps I had to do, or else I won't be able to edit my .sav
