iiaaronxix
I am in the process of making a rom that allows the user to play as "Hugh" (Rival). The rival in the rom is the Male Hero. I have managed to make the walking overworld sprites to work for both characters as well as the back sprite for "Hugh" (Player). When I attempted to change the front In-Battle sprite for the player all I got was some sort of staticy mess, See below. Can anyone help me? (Bare in mind I have only started editing roms today) Edited May 4, 2013 by iiaaronxix
cpan1
When you change the files (I'm assuming with BWSE), it only changes the image. Each image also has multiple other files that come with it. These files control various other things including animation. You have to swap all of Hugh's files with Nate's files, not just the sprite.

iiaaronxix
Does anyone know where I can find the animation files for both hugh and nate?
cpan1
For each sprite you see, there are notehr files that go along with it. There are eight files in total. You have to replace all these files. You can use BWSE to get a general idea of which files contain which. For example, Sprite id#0 is Nate -> Files 0-7. Sprite id#1 is Rosa -> Files 8-15, etc.

poisonpint
Does anyone know where Missingno's animation file is? And which one of the listed files that you have to replace is the animation file?
cpan1
Missingno's sprites are in pokemon sprites. http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?17602-Modding-B-W-Pokemon-Sprites&p=134718&viewfull=1#post134718 for animation file info.
poisonpint
I mean, when I go into the pokemopn sprites narc (0/0/4), which set of files is Missingno's, and which file is the animation file in Missingno's set of files.
Kaphotics
if you just poke around in tinke, the order should be the same as cpan posted
poisonpint
Yes, I know that they're in the same order, I just need to know which one is the animation file.
cpan1
Have you checked the link I posted before? It might help. If all fails, you could try to import all/similar files. I would try files 4-6 (rcmn to bin) though I'm not sure sure right now...
poisonpint
Ok, Thanks I'll try those.
