ReignOfComputer Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) The Mewtwo will be available for download via WiFi from the 12th of February, 2012. By speculation, the Mewtwo is probably based off the First Anniversary Mewtwo distributed in Japan from September to October last year. Should this be the case, the Mewtwo will arrive at Level 70 in a Cherish Ball. It has Pressure as an ability and be holding a King's Rock. Its moveset will be Psystrike, Shadow Ball, Aura Sphere, and Electro Ball. No end date has been announced yet. Update from Guested (1/6/12): It ends the 26th of February or the 6th of March. Update from Guested (2/27/2012): Turns out the end-date was the 26th. Update (26/1/12): It has been confirmed that the Mewtwo is in fact based off the Japanese First Anniversary Mewtwo. Nigoli Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 Unoriginal Event is unoriginal with probably a lame OT? No thanks.
Guested Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 It's not unoriginal to English. And if it's wifi, then the OT won't be as bad as "Gamestop."
Guest Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 And if it's wifi, then the OT won't be as bad as "Gamestop." *presses the Like button* I would assume the OT would be something like "WIN2012" or "2012WIN"
Nigoli Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 The WIN and FAIL FALL OT just seems like a quick and lazy way to name an OT, IMO. That isn't very original after the G&S 10th Anniversary Mew for America. Please think of something new? No thanks. *presses the Like button*I've always wanted a feature like that on this Forum.
Kyogre1 Posted January 26, 2012 Posted January 26, 2012 OT will be lame definitely. Something like xxx2012 for sure.
Guested Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 I've moved all of the off-topic posts into their own thread somewhere else. Stay on topic in this thread, thanks!
Kyogre1 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 (edited) Found out the event will run until Feb 26th. it actually runs through mar 6th! Edited February 8, 2012 by Kyogre1
Nintendo1252 Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Pokemon.com lied about the end date, I even E-Mailed them about it. Edited February 28, 2012 by Nintendo1252
Guested Posted February 8, 2012 Posted February 8, 2012 (edited) Nintendo Zone lied to us... However, it is still a conflicted end date. An official press release also stated that it was the 26th, and that was JUST before the official site updated. So, either it was updated/extended, or it's a conflict of information. BELLEVUE, WA - February 7th, 2012 - Pokémon™ fans have a limited chance to receive one of the rarest and most powerful Psychic-type Pokémon, Mewtwo, when it returns as a special character distribution event next week. From February 12th through February 26th, fans with wireless broadband Internet access can catch this Level 70 Legendary Pokémon for their Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version video games via the Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection service. The Mewtwo character distribution begins on the heels of the February 8th launch of Pokémon TCG: Black & White - Next Destinies, featuring the awesomely powerful Mewtwo - EX card and others, including Reshiram - EX, Zekrom - EX, and Regigigas - EX! Mewtwo, one of the most popular Pokémon ever, has had a deep connection with fans since its debut in the franchise's first games - Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Blue Version. It makes its return with several powerful moves, including Shadow Ball, a Ghost - type move that is super effective against Ghost - type Pokémon, and Electro Ball, a stunning move that Mewtwo cannot normally learn. Making this character distribution especially valuable, this Mewtwo also comes equipped with the devastating Psystrike attack, a brand-new signature move that allows Trainers to inflict damage depending on their opponent's Defense - a skill that is normally only learned at Level 100! When players get Mewtwo, it will also be holding a King's Rock, an item that can occasionally cause opponents to flinch in battle, and when given to certain Pokémon in your party, will help them evolve. Finally, Mewtwo comes with a Premier Ribbon, a special Ribbon that can't be collected through normal game play! The Pokémon Company International is only making this Mewtwo special character distribution available for two short weeks, so be sure to get it before the opportunity to add Mewtwo to your party passes by. To participate in the Mewtwo character distribution event for the Pokémon Black Version and Pokémon White Version video games, you will need: Wireless broadband Internet access A Nintendo DS™, Nintendo DSi™, Nintendo DSi XL™, or Nintendo 3DS™ system A copy of the Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version video game No more than 11 Wonder Cards in your possession For full details on how to receive Mewtwo for your copy of Pokémon Black Version or Pokémon White Version, and to learn about the new Mewtwo - EX Pokémon TCG card available February 8th in the Pokémon TCG: Black & White - Next Destinies expansion, go to www.pokemon.com/ex. Guest Posted February 11, 2012 Posted February 11, 2012 FEB2012... Heh. They should've sticked with the [season][year] OT's, just for continuity's sake.
ReignOfComputer Posted February 11, 2012 Author Posted February 11, 2012 Lmao, horrible and uncreative OT as predicted.
Guested Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Mewtwo is offline now. Turns out the end-date WAS the 26th afterall.
Kyogre1 Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 But the official site still says March 6th, there must be something wrong.
mbruno Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Mewtwo is offline now.Turns out the end-date WAS the 26th afterall. The info for this event on the needs to be corrected to reflect the proper end date.

trance Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 So it annoys you that the Wonder Card uses the official date? That's too trivial to change, even just for one person.
Guested Posted September 2, 2012 Posted September 2, 2012 It didn't start a day early, .... it started at the time events always start.... which technically in the US is the night before the scheduled start date. I'm too braintired to do the math, but the server turns on when it's midnight at somewhere in the world.... Anyways, the ID no. is set to represent the 11th, but that just means they changed the official start date to the 12th AFTER they already decided on the ID. Perhaps it was doin to coincide with some Mewtwo stuff going on sale, or the movie airing on TV? I don't recall what was happening or when... but maybe it's that. As for the date... if you are THAT particular about it, you can always change the date on your Pokemon using Pokegen after you pick it up from the guy.
