jfire053
Hi everyone, i'm new here and I really want to get into competitive battling. I'm trying to figure out pokesav, but all of the tutorials tend to start after getting whatever you need to begin Saving. Can someone give me instructions from the top? Basically meaning, all I have is a DS, and a Pokemon White game card. What do I need to get and what do I need to do to start saving? I would appreciate a response very much, thanks
Kaphotics
Pokesav is not a Project Pokemon supported software. For questions regarding issues or usage of Pokesav, please contact the original author at http://pokesav.umimi.com/ == Pokegen is the newest replacement for Pokesav and is much better. Pokegen is the only save editor supported by Project Pokemon. Information here: http://is.aweso.ms/pokegen
jfire053
OKay thanks! Can you tell me how to use PokeGen then? Tutorials are never detailed enough. Also, do I have to be using an emulator for PokeGen?
Kaphotics
No, you need either your Save file (extract it with an external device like SMS4 or NDS Save Adapter Plus), an Action Replay, or using Willaien's GTS to distribute PKMs to your game. jfire053
Thank you so much for your help If I buy an acction replay I can just transfer my pokegen file to my DS?
Tbird
No you use the GTS to export the files, you would use an AR to export the codes (basically your files just in AR format). Anyway this should be in the SAV section.
jfire053
I'm sorry about the incorrect thread section Can a mod move it? Also...I don't understand the acronyms, as I said, i'm completely new to these things.
