KyoMcFizzle
Check to see if your driver is installed properly or if it needs to be updated. I know a lot of people are having this issue. Give it a shot, ja?
Aquilous
Pretty sure it won't, since there is no orange mouse update icon on the DS screen, I'll try though.
Aquilous
I mean, even if I do install driver (it worked fine on 1.51, so I assume its installed). There is no orange mouse and when I emailed datel they told me sorry, since 1.71 isn't compatible with 1g ards that the USB is disabled. Now they won't reply to my other message, any way I can downgrade?

Asylum
If you uninstall the driver (device manager I assume when the device is plugged in) you can just update to 1.55. If you can't figure it out, just try installing 1.55 and see if it takes 1.71's place.
Aquilous
So, what's the driver? The device manager code program or the actual thing in my computer that manages the USB? I'll try either
Phadunk
so do we NEED 1.71 to use b/w codes for ards?

Phadunk
do we have to download it the same way? because i don't have a disc anymore..
Aquilous
Ok, updates, now that I used a hex editor to edit the firmware file, Datel says I'm screwed and need another ar...because using a hex editor will disable USB. This sucks, but anyone got any other ideas..please? And Phadunk, go to codejunkies.com and look in the support section and download ur version of the code manager

Aquilous
*Yawn* Waiting yet for another response from datel. i'm sort of angry -.- Anyone know how to enable USB activity even with hex editor? I need a master, here!
Asylum
...try 1. putting in your AR 2. going to device manager (computer, properties, hardware, device manager) 3. uninstalling the driver for the (unknown?) device, or the AR device, whatever it says. 4. Install firmware 1.55 (you can do this by manually installing it in your device manager as well) I honestly don't see the issue here. You don't need another AR. It's just your computer and/or installed driver issue If this doesn't fix the issue, or isn't the issue entirely, just look up on google how to enable USB, or whatever your issue is. Phadunk
everytime i download the 1.55 firmware or 1.71 firmware from the site.. it ends up saving to a WMP [audio] file.. i dont know what to do. it's rather annoying..
Phadunk
this is what im talking about.. when i download it.. and extract.. its this file.. nothing else. wth?
Darkraivids
Same here. It comes as a audio file that doesn't do anything when you open it. When I try to put it into the Code Manager, it says that I need an NDS connected by USB to update firmware.
Phadunk
with all these AR users.. there has to be someone here that can help us out.
Aquilous
Ok guys looks like I'm screwed. Datel told me that I can't downgrade AR as they didn't make it for that, and that hex editor disables USB connectivity. Even if they did, the code manager would have to recognize my nds, which can''t happen now since the USB is disabled....Can I throw the AR against the wall and hope it's fixed?
