DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Hi =) There is a version of PID / IV and Legatiliy Checker for Pokemon Black and White?
Acanto Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 In this Generation, PID has a correlation only with a Pokémon's Nature. Plus, Nintendo doesn't check it. There isn't currently a Legality Checker for Generation V; but, since the number of values to be checked for legality reasons is quite small, you can easily do it by yourself, on PokéGen.
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 and how? I modified by nature and iv Pokesav B / W on Random Battle Online is an error when checking my team and I'm disconnected ... = / How can I do?
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Because you are probably using the incorrect ability for the PID. There won't be a legality thread for a little while, the games just came out so give it some time.
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Thank you =) i try with pokegen but don't work... you can tell me correct step by step for creation PID IV on pokegen?
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Narrow the rejected Pokemon down on your own by swapping them with legit ones to find the problem pokemon(s). I'm not sure if PokeGen has the 5th gen ability calculation in it, but if you create your pokemon correctly with the right ability you shouldn't get blocked.
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 you can check this yourself if you enclose it in the topic? = P Would you be so kind? = P
Codr Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 I'm not sure if PokeGen has the 5th gen ability calculation in it It isn't yet.
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 If you post the PID (in decimal or hex I don't care), I'll let you know what ability it should have. Ability 1 or Ability 2.
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Liepard, Jolly, (ABILITY: Limber) PID: 1665863463 hp:31 atk:31 def:29 s att:20 s. def:27 speed:21 thank you
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 PID[D]: 1665863463 PID[H]: 634B0F27 PID: 1100011010010110000111100100111 Ability 1. You gave it ability 0. Give it this PID: 1665797927 It should then work with your wanted ability. ====== For anyone else wanting to have correct abilities: Convert the PID to hex. Take the xxxXyyyy (Capital X) Convert to binary. The lowest bit will be the legal ability for that PID. This only applies for Pokemon that originated in gen 5, not in previous games.
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 Uh, thankyou but...But where am I enter all these codes? Sorry but I'm not very experienced, in addition to not speak English very well = /
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 Instead of having: PID: 1665863463 give it PID: 1665797927
DraVoir Posted March 7, 2011 Author Posted March 7, 2011 But: Take the xxxXyyyy (Capital X)What? I do not understand this step... I thing I have to convert to binary? O_ohow do I get the correct pid (1665797927) from the wrong (1665863463)?
Kaphotics Posted March 7, 2011 Posted March 7, 2011 You edit the PID in pokegen. Use the correct PID. The example was for everyone else who was looking at the thread (guests)
iamotaku42 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 You edit the PID in pokegen. Use the correct PID.The example was for everyone else who was looking at the thread (guests) Wait, so you mean use the PID Finder? If so, which method?
Kaphotics Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Wait, so you mean use the PID Finder? If so, which method? There is no method for gen 5 in PokeGen. I'm not gonna post legality stuff
DraVoir Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 There is no method for gen 5 in PokeGen. I'm not gonna post legality stuff why not? To PM?
Bond697 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 But:What? I do not understand this step... I thing I have to convert to binary? O_o how do I get the correct pid (1665797927) from the wrong (1665863463)? no you don't have to convert it to binary, not sure why he did that. convert the pid to hexadecimal in the windows calculator(by going to "view"->"programmer") and take the first half of it. so if you had this: 634B0F27, you would use this part: 634B. the last number is B, which is odd. if the last number is even it gets ability 1, if the last number is odd it gets ability 2. if you're wondering where i got 634B0F27 from, it's your pid, 1665863463, converted to hex.
DraVoir Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Thankyou =) But with Scolipede Jolly with this PID (2267278013) and ability Swarm. How I can do? I'm trying but I can not do it = / Swarm it's ability 1 or 0?
Acanto Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Thankyou =) But with Scolipede Jolly with this PID (2267278013) and ability Swarm. How I can do? I'm trying but I can not do it = / Swarm it's ability 1 or 0? Just leave the PID field blank, edit the Pokémon's Nature/Ability/etc., and save the *.pkm or *.sav file. PokéGen will automatically fill it with an appropriate PID. This is just my opinion, but you shouldn't spend too much efforts on PID generation. By Nintendo standards, it doesn't affect the legality of a Pokémon. And it's not, like, for example, giving a Pokémon a wrong moveset, which would make a Pokémon appear blatantly hacked. Since PokéGen doesn't support Generation V PID calculation methods, you wouldn't be able to make a generated Pokémon virtually equal to the same Pokémon obtained in-game, even if you tried. Just leave the field blank, let the software worry about it for you, and save yourself some time.
DraVoir Posted March 8, 2011 Author Posted March 8, 2011 Yeah, but if i leave the pid field blank... i have error and i m disconnected <.<
Acanto Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Having the software handle the whole operation or manually giving it the input is the exact same thing -- the software runs through the same processes. If the Pokémon appears as hacked, then you must've set incorrectly some other value. I'm sure it's not a PID-related issue.
Bond697 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 that's because pokegen doesn't have the gen 5 ability calc in it yet. leaving the pid blank generates a gen 4 pid.
