Hello all, as you can see we have upgraded the forums to vBulletin 4.0. There were some issues that were preventing us from logging in, and when I fixed that for logging in the true issue remain so if for the las 8 hours you have been logged in but can't post or do anything that was normal. The issue is fixed now so things should function correctly. You may have to delete your cache. If you still have problems please post here and they will be addressed.

Scary, was afraid the site was hacked as projectpokemon.org showed a empty directory. :p

We'll be working on new themes as well since all previous versions are incompatible. I may update some of the themes to work on vB 4.0, but I am not sure yet.

Cost a lot? Nope; when you own a vB license you get free upgrades.

I've already tried to upgrade a 3.8.4 skin to 4.0, but it does not seem to work. This is one of the reasons I dislike 4.0.

4.0 is much more complex and less user friendly.

To tell the truth, the first time i came here after knowing it would be the faithful day(I didn't see it). However going to sleep and coming again and finally seeing it... I quite liked it. But a custom theme for the forum would be nice as well.

That's where it gets less user friendly, MewtwoEx. Styles are a lot harder to make and customize now. A lot more coding is involved.

So other than difficulty, what else has improved? I see the competition hack is out too. :|

I would say everything is more visible. Meaning it is supposed to be more easy to access.

I noticed that the "What's New?"/"New Posts" (they go to the same place) list shows unread posts like it should, but doesn't have the divider to mark your last visit. I frequently used this feature to find what posts were really "new" to me and which ones I simply had not read on my last visit. Obviously I don't read all unread posts every time I logon.
Will this be corrected? Am I actually the only person who uses it?

i use it too
anyway, i find that i have to check "remember me" to stay logged in
there is no filter to filter out recent posts that are yours (ex: if my post is the most recent post and i click on recent posts it wont show my post cuz i posted it)

I think that's intentional. If you posted it then it's not exactly an "unread post" to you is it?

thats my point. if i posted it then its not a new post so if i check my unread posts it shouldnt show up

why does settings go to user cp
Because that's where you edit the forums setting that apply to you.

I just noticed that posts from one person one after another do not merge like they did with VB 3.8.4 .

All hacks are obsolete now. We have to wait for, or make our own, new hacks.
