Double checking doesn't really work, because other people might just copy serebii. So you can find 10+ sites with the same wrong information. And yes, own research is always preferred.

Never thought of it that way but there are always some honest people out there. Plus there is nothing wrong with doing your own research and blazing a new path in pokemon discoveries.

We'd prefer if mistakes made by our members were due to mistakes made by us and not by Serebii.

For example, on this page http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-dp/location/446.shtml#platinum and this page http://www.serebii.net/platinum/honeytrees.shtml (The following Pokémon are found on all Honey Trees dotted around Sinnoh. The location does not change the type of Pokémon or the rarity.)

Serebii makes people think anyone can get Munchlax in any tree with a 1% encounter rate. This is 100% falsification of information. That he wrote that tells me that he just invents stuff just to have something to say. There is no way someone can test and determine that its a 1% encounter rate at every tree. Firstly because its not and secondly because of the complexity of honey tree pokemon generation. So I don't trust Serebii at all, unless the info was given by me or Sabre (i.e., trainer data/names for platinum that he used for Pokearth).

Now, we never know what other information he's invented. So its best not to use Serebii at all.

So yes, the correct data is the same no matter where it comes from but people reading data have no idea if that is correct data or not.

I guess for the group its ok to use it but it would be great if you double checked somewhere else or better yet did your own in game research.

I caught a shiny Lugia in Emerald. It is cool.It was the first shiny I ever saw and caught.

How'd you get a shiny lugia in EMERALD?? Seriously you cant get lugia in emerald.

Any ideas how to find it? My friend says that the answer you gave sounds emeraldish...is it for sapphire? He restarted his sapphire and forgot how to get latias. Ugh, so you have to beat the elite four and he's in the wild...is there any way to make it easier to find him? Know of his where abouts?

I think it would be best to avoid introducing new projects at the moment but I'll file the idea. I think we've spread ourselves to thin and we wont be able to be very productive. However, I will file any ideas you have and introduce them when we have less projects.

My friend wants to know where and how you get latias. I'm not exactly sure so I"m asking. Plus I haven't been able to find something good on it. All the information seems to constantly contradict the other. So if someone could give me a clear and accurate way to obtain latias in sapphire it would be great.

Well the first time i saw i shiny poekmon was in my birther's saphire, a brown cacnea came out, and i killed it but i didnt know it was shinycause it was the first time i played the game

Anyways I was playing my sapphire game (that I'd restarted) and I was training before petalburg and guess what...a shiny poochyena popped out! I was frozen in excitement and fear I'd lose it being I had 3 pokeballs on me and I didn't want to kill it. I got it down as low as I could (in the yellow) with my silcoon then I chucked a ball at it. 3 wobbles almost had it, then I used harden and string shot a couple of times to prolong the battle..one more turn and silcoon was dead so I tossed the pokeball and caught it. I named it after my dog, it looks so much like him

Breloom! Oh I have to show this to my breloom hating friend. How can you hate that mushroom? That is total ownage! He owned 4 out of the 6 pokemon and one of the pokes he didn't take out exploded so it doesn't matter. That breloom is the awesomest plant to ever live!

Why not sandshrew..it is way cuter, blastoise is fat, and claydol looks weird. Those are my problems with them. I dont even know if sandshrew can learn rapid spin...:tongue: but it looks cute!
