  1. Well, throughout all my adventures in sinnoh I have always chosen piplup. Piplup has just always seemed the better of the 3. However, as I look deeper into the game and the different gyms I start to rethink and go Hmmm.. maybe someone else could have done the job better. Well I think that in order to come up with the best choice you have to look at aspects like gyms, wild pokemon, and type strengths and weaknesses. So that is what this guide will touch on and based on that you will be able to decide for yourself which one you think is the best.

Well there are a total of eight gyms and each of the gym leaders specializes in a different type pokemon here is the list.

    1. Gym one in oreburgh ground and rock types
    2. Gym 2 in eterna city grass types
    3. gym 3 a big change from D/P to PT hearthome ghost type (usually this gym is closer to the end)
    4. gym 4 in veilstone a figthing type
    5. gym 5 pastoria a water type
    6. gym 6 canalave?? Not sure
    7. gym 7 snowpoint ice type
    8. gym 8 sunnyshore electric types

Ok, each gym has their own weaknesses and some of them are obvious.

The first gym is really weak against water types so piplup is looking really good right now. Oh, but then look at the next gym piplup is at a disadvantage against grass type now chimchar is looking good. Then we got the ghost type gym I'm not to sure on that one my prayers lied with my caught rotom there. We got veilstone that is weak against ghost, flying, psychic and a few more. Pastoria, well work with electric pokemon for there but I know that he might have a powerful quagsire which is water and ground so that is a magnified weakness against grass ooh turtwig is looking pretty good right now. Skipping canalave, snowpoint pretty obvious ice types chimchar looking pretty sweet. Then we have sunnyshore with electric I believe that turtwig is in the spotlight again. So which one to choose well keep reading.

    Piplup:

    1. first gym: good
    2. second gym: bad
    3. 3rd gym: so so
    4. 4th: so so
    5. 5th gym: not really
    6. 6th: unsure
    7. 7th uh not really
    8. 8th: are you kidding me pull that penguin back no way!

    Turtwig:

    1. first gym: good against ground types
    2. second gym: so so
    3. 3rd gym: depends
    4. 4th gym: uh not so much
    5. 5th gym: oh grass grass and more grass
    6. 6th unsure
    7. 7th: um I dont really think so
    8. 8th: yeas pretty good ground would be better so torterra would be nice

    Chimchar:

    1. 1st gym: um not really
    2. Second gym: you could burn it to the ground
    3. 3rd gym: some what
    4. 4th gym: totally lucario will fall before you!
    5. 5th gym: only if you are insane
    6. 6th gym: not sure
    7. 7th gym: melt melt melt!
    8. 8th gym: not really positive on that one maybe so so

Now for why I choose piplup all the time:

    Rocks against the first gym

You can catch a fire type (ponyta) and a flying type (starly) to handle that grass types

Ghosts dont need to scare you when you have a rotom and a evolved piplup with steel moves

um once again you can catch the right pokemon to handle mayleen

There are good grass types available to handle crasher wake.

    6th gym not sure

Time to bring back ponyta for those ice types

8th gym: fly back to oreburgh or go to iron island catch ground pokemon

The elite four is where you bring the best products of fighting at those gyms. That is why I choose piplup. However, now I'm looking at turtwig and thinking, maybe I chose wrong.

The choice is yours this was just here to help you. Have fun with whatever one you choose! (press the show button to view guide)

  2. Well then why dont you make one Turtlekid2. If you do can you tell me where it is because really EVs and the math around it isnt really my pokemon strong point. So if you do make a guide tell me so that I can use it and reference it in some of my guides.

So if you think the current one isn't at its best maybe add to it in the same thread and if you do tell me. Please!

  3. Talking about bad eggs, i got one on my Diamond when using 1 hit kill. Never use this code in Doulbe trainer battles. In Battle. Yes IN BATTLE. If you use 1 hit kill you can end up with a bad egg in battle.

Yes, this conclusion I have drawn from my net research and my own personal experience, you can encounter them in battle if using that code, because I too have used that code. I do believe that as long as you avoid catching, hatching, and messing around with bad eggs you are safe from its lethal effects.

Your post was sum what confusing so I'm not exactly sure if that was a question. If it was a question I hope I answered it.

THE NEXT SECTION IS LUCKY EGGS AND IT IS COMING SOON

  4. Yes there is a way to get the pokemon you want without using the ever wonderful !!Pokesav!! and breeding pays a big part in this. Also other things like EVs and IVs play a huge part in getting the pokemon you want.

Now in order to get a good pokemon it is going to take these things...

    • Time
    • Effort
    • and perseverance

So if you are a busy person, you usually don't put effort into things, or you have a short attention span and you just can't focus on long term things then stop reading for it is nearly irrelevant to you. Now first you need to decide on the pokemon you want to be the prize pokemon, or the apple of your eye, your best work. So in order to continue on through this guide I will use drifloon, my favorite pokemon, as an example.

So here are the things you need...

    • a pokemon (drifloon in this case)
    • moves you want it to know
    • what you want to train your pokemon for (devestating attacks, smart moves that cripple opponents, strong defensive pokemon that can last a while whatever it may be)
    • Then you need to find out what nature would best fit that role and try to get your pokemon to have that
    • What your pokemon's ability is and how it could effect the battle
    • Where are you going to train your pokemon so it can grow in the correct area (EV training)

Alright so since we already have a pokemon chosen we can skip right to the next part on the list. The moves you want it to know. Well you can find a pokemon's move pool at this location:

    http://pokemon.marriland.com/platinum/pokedex/list/sinnoh/

I'm sure though that we will eventually have all of that information right here on project pokemon. So then I will just be linking to other pages here! So choose the moves but when choosing the moves you have to keep in mind what role this pokemon is going to play in your party. This leads me into my next point which is considering the pokemon's role.

This is extremely important when creating a good pokemon for it is the basis to all of your efforts. Now I knew exactly what my drifloon was going to be like. I was not a dumb battler I knew that smart moves=crippled opponent=easy win. So I figured well my drifloon can learn both stockpile and spit up which combined can create a powerful special attack but stockpile can also be used to hunker down and defend myself when I destroy them in their dreams because I wanted drifloon to know dream eater and hypnosis.

Now look at this next bit. It will tell you the moves I wanted my drifloon to learn and how.

    Stockpile: at Lv 22

    Spit up: at lv 27

    Dream eater: TM85

    Hypnosis: Egg

Now stockpile and spit up they are the easiest because you learn them naturally and maybe you want all lv up moves that is perfectly fine and normal it isn't a bad thing. In this case though Dream eater and Hypnosis are going to be harder to get on a pokemon. Now to get dream eater you must find it in the game or obtain it through cheats. In platinum dream eater can be found by the side of lake valor I believe. Hypnosis can be bred on to a drifloon by using breeding. If you want to read my guide on Breeding: Egg moves: then use the following link.

http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=93 (link to my egg move guide on breeding) :it will help you understand egg moves better:

so just to recap I have my four moves chosen, pokemon chosen, and their role chosen. However I mentioned that choosing their role would be crucial to the development and training of the pokemon. Why is that? Well because of EV training!

EV training is where you have your pokemon battle specific pokemon so that it can get stronger in a particular stat. Now some pokemon are naturally strong in certain stats and those stats vary from pokemon to pokemon. Drifloons are naturals when it comes to raising their HP they raise it when they level up in usually large numbers. Now maybe you are wondering what exactly EVs are well EVs are Effort Values which are appropriately name for at the end of training the amount of EVs will show in the stats. When you battle a pokemon in game not and not at the battle tower, wifi, friend or stuff like that each pokemon you fight will give EV points, based on their strong stat. Like if you did battle a drifloon then you would get 1 HP EV point towards your EVs now a pokemon can have a max number of 510 EV points otherwise your pokemon could become immortal practically if there wasn't a limit. It takes 4 EV points to actually make one point addition on the stats. So it takes some work but it is worth it in the end. Now what pokemon give what in stats well a member of this site made a list which is good of him here comes the link...

http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?t=120 (link to EV training list) *Created by: NeoDraven thanks a bunch!*

Now if you still have questions ask NeoDraven because EVs really aren't my strong point. However, if your pokemon wasn't on the list go to this link and search on the pokemon you are looking for.

    http://pokemon.marriland.com/platinum/pokedex/list/sinnoh/ Pokedex link

Eventually though, all of this information will be on the site and there will be no need for multiple browsers linked to other sites.

Now, I know the moves and all my attack moves are special moves so I'm going to find a pokemon that gives EV points towards special attack and find the one that is most common in the wild at lower levels. For my drifloon's battling opponent I chose gastly because 1: easy to find, 2: low level, and 3:I respect them because they helped get hypnosis onto my drifloon.

With that settled we can start finding the perfect nature a nature that boosts special attack. Well it took me a while to breed the pokemon with the right one but I finally got one. The nature was rash which boosts special attack and lowers special defense. I was really shooting for modest because if boosts sp. atk and lowers atk and Atk would be irrelevant if no attack moves were the atk type. But I stuck with rash because I had tried many times and I really got board of hatching eggs. Here is a list of all the natures and their effects:

Pokemon Natures: courtesy of: Sui89 (extremely helpful guide thanks so much it has been invaluable to me)

Hardy - Nothing raised or lowered.

Lonely - Attack raised. Defense lowered.

Brave - Attack raised. Speed lowered.

Adamant - Attack raised. Special attack lowered.

Naughty - Attack raised. Special defense lowered.

Sassy - Special defense raised. Speed lowered.

Careful - Special defense raised. Special attack lowered.

Quirky - Nothing raised or lowered.

Please give a round of applause for the creator of this wonderful list for without him we might be lost in a fog of natures well boy or girl I'm not sure.

    *applause echoes for Sui89*

Now the ability part isn't as crucial as some of the other parts but it really adds the spice to the pokemon. It is almost like the icing on the cake. I wanted my drifloon to have the ability aftermath so now if you actually kill my most beloved pokemon the horrid pokemon who downs him will be hurt! So that is the ability part for you.

I hope that this guide helped and you all could understand it. Remember don't give me EV questions because that is not my strong point. The reason IVs didn't show up in the guide is because I don't know much about them. So maybe you could get someone else to help on that. Anyway I did the best I could here so please comment or add to what I missed or left out because I am deprived of information in that section. It would be appreciated!

Just in case you dont know click on the actual spoiler button to show the guide. If you want to use a spoiler just go like this ["spoiler] text text text content content text ["/spoiler"] just minus the quotation marks and the text text content stuff, that is supposed to stand for the stuff you show in the middle.

    Hope it helped! *comment please!*

  5. Alright instead of just an intro in one post and then the rest in several others I'm going to try and get it all into this one post.

    Pokemon Eggs: Hatching

Well hatching eggs is simple really however depending on the pokemon inside the egg it could take some time. Each pokemon while in the egg takes a different amount of steps to hatch. I feel so lame saying this but I actually didn't know that hatching an egg took steps so flying around doesn't count!

Now if you have a lot of eggs you can only hold 5 in your party because you have to have a pokemon to battle just in case. So now that you have 5 eggs or less in your party you can go begin the hatching. Wait, no you can speed it up you just have to have the right pokemon. You see if the pokemon in your party has the ability flame body or magma armor the number of steps it takes to hatch an egg is cut in half. Pretty useful.

Now, find a long stretch of uninterupted road, or cycling path, and then run or bike up and down the road to gain the steps. Riding on the bike in cycling road is the fastest way I know and you should have a bike by the time you get an egg.

So that is the most efficient way I know to hatch eggs.

If you want to know around the exact number of steps your particular egg will take to hatch then go to this link...

    http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/list

And search on the pokemon you know is inside the egg. The pokemon in the egg is always the female's or non ditto's species. If you receive it from a friend or in game then you might not know. FYI that link is for a diamond and pearl pokedex here is one for platinum:

    http://pokemon.marriland.com/platinum/pokedex

I hope this has been helpful!

Please post feed back and use the poll!

    Pokemon Eggs: Bad eggs

Bad eggs are terrible things and one should not ever try to obtain them. Bad eggs are the result of a code gone wrong or to many codes used. At least that is what I have read. So maybe if you were trying to get a pokemon from your AR and you misentered the code well then the pokemon would probably result in a bad egg.

    Can they hatch?

Yes I do believe they will but they will turn up as a question mark and everything will be question marks either that or they never hatch. I do believe that they take 30,000 steps to hatch which is good because you never want to hatch them. They could crash your game. These eggs should be put in a pc immediately and never messed with if you cherish your game data.

    Why do they exist exactly?

I have read through my internet research that it is somewhat of a vengeance. The vengeance of Missingno. or something like. This (identity) created something that to many codes resulted in a bad egg. (atleast with 3rd generation games for sure) Or maybe a code gone wrong or incorrectly inputted. They can crash your game which is part of the vengeance. Plus when they hatch they turn into question marks and that is all the pokemon you will ever see if it doesn't crash your game. Question marks.

    Codes gone wrong?

These are incorrectly put in codes this could result in a bad egg. Plus I do believe that bad eggs can appear in double battles if you are using the one hit KO cheat. This, after the foe is defeated, could result in a bad egg appearing, although it is invisible it will use the moves of the previous pokemon and if wild it can be caught but don't catch it!

BAD EGGS ARE JUST LIKE THEIR NAME BAD! DON'T EVER HATCH ONE OR ACCEPT ONE IN A TRADE, REALLY JUST STICK IT IN THE PC AND LEAVE IT ALONE! THEY ARE A CREATION OF PURE DEVIOUSNESS. BE CAREFUL WHEN DEALING WITH THESE EGGS THEY ARE NOT NORMAL AND CAN BE LETHAL TO YOUR GAME! I CANT STRESS THE FACT ENOUGH THAT THOSE THINGS ARE BAD AND DANGEROUS TO YOUR GAME! DON'T HATCH THEM OR IT COULD BE THE LAST EGG YOU EVER HATCHED!

  6. Well as readers should know I love the pokemon drifloon. Maybe now I have inspired you and you want to catch one now, but you just dont know where. Well your quest for that is over for I am going to tell you here.

Or on the other hand you might not know why I love drifloon and why every trainer should have it. Well I'm going to tell you that too.

Ok well for starters Drifloon can only be caught on a friday. I know you might be thinking this...

Oh Darn! It is monday I dont want to wait that long

Well there is good news you dont have to. Just change the date on your DS. However, this only works once per day the changing thing so dont do it multiple times, I've tried it just doesnt work like that.

Now where you catch it is in the valley windworks depending on the game its level should range from 15-22. It will be floating right outside the main building it should be pretty obvious. Go up to it, talk to it, it will say Floon!, then the battle will begin. Dont kill it be very cautious. However, be careful too it is a pretty tough pokemon and could take you down. Atleast that is what happened at a 22.

I used a master ball eventually because I have the 999 masterball cheat.

I'm going to tell the rest later I have to go now!

    Alright, now for the rest.

I think that drifloon is awesome because...

    1. It can learn the move hypnosis
    2. It is adorable
    3. It can learn stockpile, spit up, and swallow
    4. It can learn dream eater
    5. So many good moves
    6. like these, ominous wind and shadow ball
    7. Fantina from the show has a drifloon
    8. Its a tiny cute balloon so adorable so balloony and floaty
    9. Yeah that would be all I really like drifloon I hope you do too

  7. Where?

*By the way to readers if you have any questions on a certain pokemon and their egg moves or where to find a pokemon's move pool just shoot me a message or post it here*

    Thanks!

  8. This is an excellent guide. I feel like I need to contribute something as well, but I'm not much for expository writing... and the only thing I know about in-depth is EV-training.

Would anyone be interested in a guide for that?

OMG! Yes that would be awesome. I know that I looked forever on EV training and what EVs were. Serrebi net was my answer but the more information this sight has the better!

  9. Yeah, you can get that with breeding. When I was hatching drifloons to get the right one I forgot to take my pokemon out of the day care and they just kept making eggs. I'm not sure if that is what your talking about but you have to be careful with breeding

  10. Cool Hi I plan to be active too! I'm just obsessed with pokemon and I know things sort of a lot about it. Pokesav is somewhat confusing. Technology really not my thing.

  11. Well, I'm obviously a fan of Pokemon and I know a decent amount about pokemon. I wanted to share my knowledge with other Pokemon fans so that they to could benefit from the research of others like myself and compare their results with that of mine. I needed an outlet to share my knowledge and I wanted the sight to be less developed I didn't want to join a sight that had everything already because what was the point. This sight looked interesting and it intrigued me when I saw that projects of a less confusing nature would always be worked on and the administrators seemed pretty informed on the happenings so I found my outlet and now here I am!:D

  12. I'm not sure if I posted this thread in the correct place but anyway this is where I am going to inform about egg moves and other things about breeding. It is one of the things in Pokemon that I know a good amount about. Plus, I feel that the community may have been deprived exactly of how egg moves work. Although I think bulbapedia has some good information on this stuff sometimes their site doesn't work plus they aren't exactly always accurate and I've gathered a plethora of information throughout my web research and my own personal field testing.

I will elaborate in another post, because isnt this just the info on the actual thread. Sorry I'm kind of knew to this.

Alright, now that I've had my intro I can start. Well I don't know if you have heard this before but I do believe that breeding in Pokemon is an extremely useful tool when you are trying to get more powerful Pokemon. Especially if you caught your first lets say.....pikachu....and you trained him all the way up to a level fifty but he isnt that good so far. You dont want to evolve him because Raichu well just isnt as awesome as pikachu. So through breeding you can get a more powerful pikachu.

    ..........................................:confused::confused:......................................

But how? Well it actually is quite simple in concept but it could take effort, time, and more pokemon. Now with pikachu as an example I will continue. Each pokemon has a different nature there are a lot of different natures and after I finish this paragraph there will be a list of natures of pokemon and how they effect your pokemon and its stats because they do. Depending on the moves I want a pokemon to learn which I find out prior to starting to train it then those moves and their types I try to base the nature off of. Ok here is the list of natures....

Pokemon Natures: courtesy of: Sui89 (extremely helpful guide thanks so much it has been invaluable to me)

Hardy - Nothing raised or lowered.

Lonely - Attack raised. Defense lowered.

Brave - Attack raised. Speed lowered.

Adamant - Attack raised. Special attack lowered.

Naughty - Attack raised. Special defense lowered.

Bold - Defense raised. Attack lowered.

Docile - Nothing raised or lowered.

Relaxed - Defense raised. Speed lowered.

Impish - Defense raised. Special attack lowered.

Lax - Defense raised. Special defense lowered.

Timid - Speed raised. Attack lowered.

Hasty - Speed raised. Defense lowered.

Serious - Nothing raised or lowered.

Jolly - Speed raised. Special attack lowered.

Naive - Speed raised. Special defense lowered.

Modest - Special attack raised. Attack lowered.

Mild - Special attack raised. Defense lowered.

Quiet - Special attack raised. Speed lowered.

Bashful - Nothing raised or lowered.

Rash - Special attack raised. Special defense lowered.

Calm - Special defense raised. Attack lowered.

Gentle - Special defense raised. Defense lowered

Sassy - Special defense raised. Speed lowered.

Careful - Special defense raised. Special attack lowered.

Quirky - Nothing raised or lowered.

Alright so now that the list is taken care of I would all like you to give a round of applause for the extremely helpful Sui89 who provided that list ok. Do it like this *applause* ok really simple. *Applause echoes for Sui89* ok sorry I have to give credit to where it is due.

So as you should have seen because you should have read the list the natures do different things. The careful nature in a pokemon boosts its special defense and lowers its special attack. Well that is good if you are planning to fight a tricked out mewtwo because mewtwos have amazing special moves and should have a liability to have high special attack. So if you want a pikachu for a specific purpose like a one with high special attack because it is going to know special moves then you would want a pokemon with a modest nature for it raises special attack and lowers attack which would be a useless stat if all the moves were special attack. Are you seeing what I'm getting at?

    ................................................:confused::confused:.............................

Well I hope that if you do have questions you will post them.

So if you haven't had questions so far then you can see that you should look at a Pokemon's move pool which could be found at this location, they have a platinum and a Diamond and pearl one it has a lot of good information and here comes the link....http://pokemon.marriland.com/platinum/pokedex.....Ok that sight has a lot of good information on the moves of Pokemon and the Pokemon in general. I'm not sure how far into the projects we are here at this place so if you do know and the status of the pokedex here isn't good go to the link above for now I'm sure the administrators will build this sight to its full potential. So once you have found out all about your pokemon's moves and what you want it to know then based on the moves and their class (special, physical, status) then you can breed a pokemon and keep breeding till you get the desired nature.

Now you know the moves and you have the nature so you have your pokemon that is usually the extent of an average person's breeding. Well at least that is what mine was and that of friends around me until I discovered its real use and value. Now I'm going to give time for questions, processing, and comments so stay tuned.

*COMMENT AND POST YOUR QUESTIONS PLEASE!*

Well I've been monitoring this thread seeing if anyone bothered to look and well people did and some of it were guests. So since I wasn't sure whether or not they could post I decided to keep writing.

In my last entry I elaborated at the normal extent of Pokemon breeding in the average Pokemon fan based on my experiences with other Pokemon fans. Now to go really far into breeding is complicated and it will guaranteed take a lot more effort then normal breeding. However, the rewards can become quite great because through breeding you could create a completely legit Pokemon that is exceptionally good you just have to train it afterwards. One of my examples to use is Drifloon. You see when I saw ash battle fantina for the first time I saw drifloon use hypnosis so I thought to myself.....Hmmm I'm going to catch a drifloon and teach it hypnosis. However, to my dismay it didnt learn it through level up or TM/HM. So (since this was before I was informed on egg moves) I gave up. Then I found out how to do it and a whole new view of pokemon opened up to me. You see I did get hypnosis onto drifloons, and a lot and I got a nature pretty close to what it was that i desired. Now when my drifloon reaches level 100 I hope it will be so amazing that I will be able to I dont know really. Now this is the tricky part.

    Egg moves:

These are moves that can only be taught to a pokemon via breeding with another pokemon in the same egg group that knows that move. So using drifloon as an example I will inform you on that.

    What I did step one:

Well first I went to this link: http://pokemon.marriland.com/diamond_pearl/pokedex/drifloon to find out what egg group my beloved drifloon was in. So it should say in the description-egg group-*name of egg group*-then you click on it to see which pokemon are also in the same egg group and are compatible with your pokemon's egg group.

    What I did step 2:

Then I looked down in the moves and found hypnosis and then I clicked on it to find out which pokemon could learn it. Then it should tell you on the side whether or not a pokemon can learn the move via TM/HM, leveling up (and what level), egg, or move tutor. So I compared the two lists and found a pokemon that could learn the move through level up, had the same egg group, and was easily accessible. This one so happened to be a gastly.

The exception to this sort of:

Well you know how I said that the pokemon has to be in the same egg group to breed. Well that isn't always the case. There is one pokemon called ditto which you can catch in the grass patch right outside Canalave city using the pokeradar they are just really rare. Now these guys can breed with any non baby non legendary pokemon. So these are an invaluable breeding tool. I use ditto's a lot. The only problem is they cant pass on moves for they can only learn the move transform and it just doesn't work that way. So ditto's good but not for egg moves entirely.

    What I did step 3:

It turns out that gastly learns hypnosis at a level one. So I breed gastly with my ditto to get a gastly egg because ditto cant make himself ever. I do this a bunch of times because I need a male gastly so I need to make sure that its male. So I rode around for a while till my egg appeared I took it and eventually hatched it.

    What I did step 4:

Yay! Its a male so then since it knows hypnosis it will breed with my drifloon and then baby drifloon will know hypnosis. However, you have to make sure that the day care doesnt foolishly make gastly forget hypnosis by replacing it with a new move when it levels up. So to prevent that select the move in the pokemon summary and move it lower down on the list because they delete from top to bottom because game programmers just cant put that in a game where the programs choose for the best. Plus then there is the whole intention of the person for sticking it in the day care and strategies and well it would just be impossible so the delete default is from top to bottom.

    I mentioned earlier that......

I needed a male gastly level one. This is because the female decides the species of the pokemon. So I needed a female drifloon to get the baby drifloon with hypnosis. So... what are the gender contributions well that is next.

    Gender contributions:

Well the male is the one that can pass on moves but I think if both male and female know the same move through level up and they both have it while in day care the offspring is more likely to know it.

The female now in the third generation games if it was holding an everstone there was a 50% chance like increase in whether or not the offspring would inherit the ability of the mother I'm pretty sure. The nature is a random thing I'm nearly positive on that so you might want to check.

Now if the pokemon are the same species then I think that the likely hood of the offspring inheriting either the female's ability or nature increases.

    What I did step 5:

Well I repeated this step multiple times so I could get the good nature and hypnosis so I could have the desired awesome drifloon. I did this a while and then I finally got a nature I wanted it was rash because it boosts special attack and my drifloon is going to know all special moves. So now I am training my newly hatched drifloon in the old chateau in platinum for it has a lot of gastlies and if you are focusing on special attack gastlies are the way to go.

Why would I want an egg move?

Rarity, goes along with another move it can learn by HM/TM or leveling up. I wanted a drifloon with hypnosis because I wanted to teach my drifloon dream eater. Plus hypnosis puts the foe to sleep and what better pokemon to have it on then your favorite. Drifloon is the best in my opinion.

:I'm done with basic egg moving but there is still more to learn so I will still be posting here:

*PLEASE POST QUESTIONS, COMMENTS, AND BREEDING INFORMATION I DID NOT COVER PLEASE!!!*

    Breeding: Egg moves: breeding chains

Now sometimes Pokemon have more then one egg group. Now not only are these Pokemon valuable in normal battling and things like that but these Pokemon are immensely valuable in breeding. Because these pokemon serve as links between egg groups. Taking pikachu for example, pikachu is in both field and fairy egg groups which can give him potential because then he serves as a link between the two egg groups when it comes to getting egg moves.

So say you want your eevee to learn wish. Well in order to not spend time looking for an easier way you should just well keep reading for I'm giving an example here. Well eevee is in the field egg group. Then there is togetic which is in the fairy egg group but it learns wish at level 28. So how do we get it over to eevee. Simple we use the link pikachu. Since pikachu is of both egg groups he can breed with both.

So you put a female pikachu in with a male togetic that knows wish and then the offspring should know wish this will be a pichu. So evolve it into a pikachu then have it breed with a female eevee and bang, you got an eevee baby that knows wish. The only problem is you would need a female eevee and those are extremely rare. Plus you would have to get a male pichu to evolve into a pikachu so this could take some steps. This is just one of the combination's I'm currently experimenting with that is why I used it as an example.

I hope I have helped so far, make sure to post your comments and questions please!

  13. Well in similarities I think bakugan would relate more. They throw them sort of like pokeballs onto the battle field. There are good and bad guys, bakugan also features the fact that when they come out of ball form they transform into their monster form. Sort of like pokemon. However, the monsters are more like yugioh then pokemon.
