<p><p><p><p><p><p>Regarding Staraptor. This always happens. I don't know if it's just me and my troll IVs, but this is like, 3 playthroughs and I don't think that's how it should be. I'm always commenting about how Staraptor is broken, and how awesome it is. It learns the right moves, has the right stats, and has the right abilities. It ends up in everyone's teams and is very good at what it does. Even little kids use it! But every time in the end, more often than not it is a liability, and ends up fainting the most out of all the Pokemon I have. I know, I shouldn't leave it against a Magnezone to Close Combat it, or something, but really? It never OHKOs what it should OHKO... even though there is a lack of STAB. I just taught Staraptor Return and finally got rid of Quick Attack... I can't even OHKO Level 42 Golbats. Not Pidgeot, STARAPTOR. Again, I don't know what the problem is... but in the end it is always something I end up not using. I hope I'm not doing something wrong.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Yanmega would be nice: Air Slash defeats most of Marshal's Pokemon (beware of Sawk and Sturdy however!), defeats most of Grimsley's Bug weak Pokemon, and most of Caitlin's. Failing that, there's Venomoth, Scolipede, Crustle, Escavalier, that horribly broken Durant, and possibly even that maniacal Genesect and its large movepool, which would easily defeat pretty much anything with the right attacks.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Seems you don't like Abomasnow, which is understandable: permahail can get annoying. There's always Ludicolo (useful movepool), the myriad of Chlorophyll Pokemon, Amoongus, Roserade, Ferrothorn, Sawsbuck, and some other random ones. Oh right... Rotom is also part Grass in that Lawnmower mode. And if you can get one, Shaymin/Skymin totally destroys things. Seed Flare, Earth Power/Air Slash, etc...</p></p></p></p></p></p>

I don't know any early game birds with access to either of those, and Gale Wings even. Aggron with its 4x resistance should also work, but I don't have one yet. This game was supposed to give more defensive Pokemon and stuff... but I guess they want us to use Avalugg as our Rapid Spinner. Eh... what's happening Gamefreak?</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Delphox has a good support movepool (via breeding) with Wish and stuff like that, but unfortunately, offensively, it's quite limited. Grass Knot is quite unreliable in-game anyways. As for its other moves, unexpected as a mage, it only has Fire and Psychic moves... and not even Energy Ball is in its movepool. No Focus Miss either. It does learn Calm Mind though, but I think that's where the fun ends. It takes like over 40% from a wild Torkoal's Body Slam. While it is fast and powerful, it's not as versatile as Greninja.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
