Unfortunately, that stat spread is more skin to Gardevoir/Mismagius-esque Pokemon, which makes it really hard for it to tank. However, Mystical Fire is very helpful for CM sets, along with Psyshock, and if used properly, really sponges Special Attackers that aren't something like, you know, Greninja.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Greninja is black, yeah. Idk how everyone else is finding shinies though. So far, I've only found Foongus in the wild (non-fishing chain/international breeding/etc). Well, one's better than nothing I suppose.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

Only redeeming part is that it is the only one with Parting Shot (so far... maybe there is more). <p><p><p><p><p><p>Fairies be weak to Ice pl0x. I got disappointed though: thought Articuno would do well in sky battles, but it still sucks. It gets OHKOd by Hydreigon's Fire Blast (what???) and fails to OHKO Hydreigon with Ice Beam (it can't be THAT weak??). Zapdos with HP Ice already deals with other ground types in the sky and makes Ice bird redundant. What the hack???? There has to be some way to improve Articuno without making it a relic of the past.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Nobody got Adaptability Dragalge. It was just calculations: raw calculations showed how much damage it's doing to most Pokemon. It's like... stronger than Latios's Choice Specs DM, which is crazy. Adaptability is probably going to get MegaLuke banned also.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>They already did the job nerfing Special Attacks this gen, and Assault Vest exists too. And so many attacks, abilities, etc... all focusing on SpDef. I don't think we need more kills on the special attacking department. Physicals on the other hand... eh I guess Will-o-Miss (not always reliable and doesn't work against TALONFLAME) and Intimidate already does the job here.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Heh, I must be exaggerating. Anyhow, this season's Battle Spot Special Ladder only allows newmons (Gen VI mons), and all megas, and X,Y, and Z legendaries are banned. What's stupid is that there's just too little Pokemon. And the only Pokemon you will see are GW Talonflame, Aegislash and Greninja. I promise you that. Only Tyrantrum and Barbaracle counters Talonflame.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Some Pokemon are actually okay, but a lot are disappointing. They want you to use Avalugg as your primary defence. Trollfreak. Especially the new list of Megas, as it is only limited to them atm. I hope there will be more in the future, because right now it looks like asides from a few obscures that absolutely love it (like Banette), a lot of them are just grossly overpowered versions of already overpowered Pokemon (like Garchomp). I don't count Mewtwo because it is supposed to be overpowered.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>You can actually EV train right before the first battle of the game, actually. It's pretty funny: they did a lot to improve competitive aspect and discourage hacking via Pokegen or whatnot.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

It got KOd at least 20 times from the same wild Mightyena spamming Swagger and SMARTLY using Assurance every time, and Swagger never fails to hit, and I never fail to hit myself. Ooh I'm confused better go hit myself DERP. When my Water Pulse confuses, it doesn't hit itself and snaps out of it right after that turn. Ugh. Even with max HP, it's not as durable as one would think. Well, that's because it's still Clauncher. I wonder how it would be as Clawitzer.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>Clawitzer at least doesn't take up a Megaslot. MegaBlastoise has its uses, and it's great for tanking, blasting and spinning, all in one package. Unfortunately, it hates Toxic (like all bulky waters that isn't Empoleon or Tentacruel) but Clawitzer is just a hit hard Pokemon that doesn't have the right speed. It's too fast to be used in TR and too slow to be anything else, which is dumb. It should really get Agility, as Pokemon similar to it gets it. It is a great Specs abuser though, that's something. And it has U-turn, making it not lose momentum. Water typing is also brilliant defensively: it's not getting OHKOd by most moves anytime soon.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>I know the pattern, but Clauncher moves too slow. Much too slow. Magnezone is easier on other Pokemon. I have a feeling base stats also affect this, as Moltres had it much too easy even without any EVs.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>You have to explain the abilities to me, because some Pokemon shoot blue balls, other green balls, and some other time I accidentally charge up and fire this yellow ray'd ball. I realised Clauncher is having a hard time aiming even when it's the red target "I'M OPEN SHOOT ME" mode.</p></p></p></p></p></p>

<p><p><p><p><p><p>It also learns Dragon Pulse and some of the others late level iirc. Like level 67ish. You don't even need to Heart Scale. Dark + Fighting is awesome... except Fairies, you see. Troll typing resists them both. And oops. Eh if you want I'll give it back later. Ice Beam is doing fine by itself: it won't need Dragon Pulse though.</p></p></p></p></p></p>
