  1. Or alternatively, how can I find them myself within the rom decompilation files? Ideally, I want to find the S/V analogs of everything in this comparable sprite sheet from Sword/Shield -- https://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo_switch/pokemonswordshield/sheet/123715/ Specifically, I'm looking for this style of type icon - https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/c/c0/StellarIC_SV.png Any help or pointing in the right direction would be appreciated.
  2. I finally finished doing this. In case anyone in the future ever needs this data, here's the list I made for reference: https://pastebin.com/w7wmimuU
  3. In gen 4, text file locations varied across different releases of the same game. In the Diamond/Pearl US rom, for example, Pokédex text was in files 615 and 616. In the Japanese version, it was in files 601/602. In the Korean version, 603/604. Does anyone have a list of text file locations for different localizations of the various gen 4 games? I'm specifically looking for the files for ability descriptions, item descriptions, and move descriptions. For reference, I am using these text dumps: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Abcboy#Text_dumps. I'm not asking for anyone to do this work for me; I only want to know if it's been done before, so I wouldn't have to redo it myself.
  4. My goal is to get each game's Pokédex entries, ability descriptions, item descriptions, and move descriptions, in all the officially supported languages (JPN, ENG, FRE, GER, ITA, SPA, KOR). Thanks for the tools link, but I ended up finding already-made text dumps that should fit my purposes. In case anyone else needs them: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/User:Abcboy#Text_dumps
  5. Is there a tool which can export all the text files in the gen 4/5 games, similar to how pk3DS can export the "gametext" and "storytext" files for XY/ORAS/SM/USUM? (For reference: https://projectpokemon.org/research/sunmoon/) I don't need it all exported into one file, but I do need something that can work with the foreign language versions of the games. ...Or, if such text dumps (including and especially the non-English versions!) already exist, could someone point me in their direction?
  6. I was mistaken earlier; it is actually male Frillish's non-shiny back sprite that might be missing, not the female version. Bulbapedia, pokemonshowdown.com, and wikidex.net all use the shiny back sprite in its place. I only say "might be" missing because I might be wrong and it might be somewhere else.
  7. theSLAYER beat me to it. It's definitely possible, because someone somewhere was able to get these using that method: I just wish I knew where these came from, in case the others are already done Where can I find these ones? I have looked but have not been able to find them yet
  8. I took stock on what's been done so far and what (to my knowledge) still needs to be done. Still missing: shiny back sprites for non-Normal Arceus forms both back sprites (normal and shiny) for these Cosplay Pikachu forms: Rock Star, Pop Star, Ph. D, Libre. both back sprites (normal and shiny) for the female forms of all gen 1 through 4 Pokémon with gender differences. It's a huge list but the only ones with big enough differences are probably just Hippopotas and Hippowdon, so these can mostly be skipped. normal back sprite for female Frillish both back sprites (normal and shiny) for female Jellicent Gen 1 through 4 Pokémon with gender differences, for reference: Amazing work, everybody!
  9. Thank you so much for doing this, both of you! As I stated in the other thread a few weeks ago I've been trying to put together a complete resource collection of all these models. When you get closer to the end of the gen 7 shiny backsprite backlog, I'll add these to my archive, see if there's anything still missing and let you know if there are, and upload the complete collection somewhere for anyone to use (with credit to you guys and to earlier sprite capturers, of course). Unless you plan on releasing that kind of collection first -- I wouldn't want to steal your thunder lol
  10. I just checked; nothing in the list is in there. Which means, Shiny Unown forms and Totem forms, at minimum (since the imagedex here doesn't deal in backsprites (yet?)) I haven't gone through the imagedex thoroughly, but it looks like most of the gen 6/7 animations are sourced from Pkparaiso's various dumps. So anything that was missing in those would be missing here, such as the alternate Arceus forms. Any missing sprites that have ever been dumped can most likely be found in the Pokémon Showdown image files, in the various /xyani directories. And then there's the attack animations, which Pkparaiso only dumped for a special few fully evolved Pokémon in X/Y - but whose animations are now in the projectpokemon imagedex. So I hope you aren't a perfectionist, because getting all those dumped sounds like it would be a nightmare.
  11. Many thanks to the people in this thread who helped extract the US/UM animated sprites; you're doing the community a great service! I'm also working on compiling a collection of all 3D model animated sprite gifs (and I mean all of them, including alt forms, shiny/back sprites, etc). If anyone can point me in the direction of any of these gifs (or rip them if they don't exist yet, or give instructions on how to rip them) I would greatly appreciate it: Unown - all shiny front sprites except X, all shiny back sprites except P all Sun/Moon shiny back sprites (Rowlet through Marshadow, alt forms, Alolan forms, new Zygarde forms, the yet-unreleased Magearna form) shiny back sprites for alt Arceus forms normal and shiny back sprites for Shellos East (the blue Shellos) normal and shiny back sprites for Fancy Vivillon normal and shiny back sprites for Poké Ball Vivillon normal and shiny, front and back, sprites for all the Totems normal and shiny back sprites for all gen 1-4 Pokémon with gender differences (https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/List_of_Pokémon_with_gender_differences) normal and shiny back sprites for female Unfezant, Frillish, and Jellicent I don't know how many of those (if any) already exist, but once they do, we'll have all the possible sprite variations.
