    You're importing things wrong.

This is not an issue with PKHeX.

Okay so what should I do to import things properly with the patch?

I can take the save file that works, and keep importing it just fine. But the moment I open it in PKhex and save it, the file will become non-compatible/corrupt. Not sure what version I should be using, the version I have is 20200314.

Check the date in the top left corner of the program and compare it to the latest release date.

Yes I downloaded the latest version of PKhex. Just redid it. Everything in PKhex works fine, and everything in Checkpoint works fine but when I load the game I get an error and it has to close. I can revert back to an older save file before the patch though. Just seems like any modification I make, just adding a single Pokemon will create an issue when loading the game.

if your intent is to play online, I recommend that you complete the story, as opposed to using external cheats or hacks

Okay. Will do that eventually. For the short term I don't mind using a different save file. I know I can change my OT, but can I change my TID and SID in a save file to reflect my original? That way I can rename Pokemon in game.

  4. Lost interest in the story mode, may finish it at a later date. But filling out my Pokemon boxes in the PC. Looks like I cannot get box 32 without beating Eternatus during the end game, I have box 31 unlocked. Is there anyway to edit this in PKHex? Will I still be able to play online or would editing my save file in such a way prevent that or cause some other issues? Really just want that last box because breeding pools are filling up my boxes quickly.

I know someone can give me a save file with the end game finished, but then my OT, TID and SID would change right? Or could I take someone's save file and input those values without issue so I can play online and use box 32?

I don't really know what you are asking but if you want to know how to see and edit the wild encounters just select the wild encounters tab once you load the game onto the program. Hope that helped somewhat.

Also does anyone know how to edit a specific trainer's pokemon? I want to actually change certain trainers pokemon but I think it only gives me the option to randomize.

That looks to be correct. One other question if you don't mind. Is there a way for the wild encounters you search for to be set to your current TID? When I search for the wild encounters I get some with my OT but the TID is different.

  6. Might be a bit early but does anyone have a copy of Sword or Shield and may they lend me their save file? Completed would fine, but also just started would be perfectly suitable. I likely won't be able to get a hold of a copy until next week so I'd just like a save file to play around with over the weekend when a save editor comes out.

    Yes

Good to know. I have seen people using them online though a few weeks back which confused me. Was the game updated to prevent the shiny ones from going online?

  8. Read the changelog.

Okay so that must be a rare encounter. Is there a way to view a list of original NPC trainers for pokemon given by NPCs? For example alola geodude given by Higeo. I assume Laparas and Hitmonchan need a NPC OT.

  9. Just wondering how long would it take for a save editor to be developed for the upcoming Let's Go games. Is there anything in development, or will it be many months until any kind of save editing is possible? I know there are some save editors for some other Switch games currently. I know the contents of a save file will vary from game to game, but is the general process to read and access a save files contents relatively similar in different games?

I also found this solution but you cant use the photo club if you do this : For anyone hving trouble with the Alola Photo Club: Yeah, I'm playing on Citra as well and, like all of you, had that issue. However, I didn't wanna use someone else's save, nor wait for someone to do research on this, so i did it myself and solved it to some extent. What to do?

-Load your save file on PKHeX. Since you're all playing on Citra, I doubt any of you guys don't know how to use it.
    -Open the "Event Flags" window.
    -Go to the "Research" tab.
-Look for constant 68, and set its value to 410.
-Look for constant 470, and set its value to 8730.
-Obviously, save the changes. Once you load the game, it should behave as if you'd already done that Photo Club thing.
Rotom should be telling you to go to Big Wave Beach, and if you enter the club, the clerk shouldn't force you to do the photo thing anymore. This solution is not perfect, though, for the following reasons:
-While you'd normally get a "Photo Album" icon on your menu, it won't appear if you do it this way (who cares, anyway?)
-When you get to the beach, Hau will talk to you, but his overworld model won't appear, so it'll look really awkward. This, however, solves automatically once you reach Akala.
-Haven't found any more side effects, but if I do, I'll let you know.

DISCLAIMER If you do anything stupid and get your save corrupted, I'm not gonna take any responsibility, nor give a heck about it.
Do it at your own risk. Backups are recommended.

Has anyone tried this work around and then used the main file in a cartridge and went online? I did this method and it worked great, but now I do have a cartridge in my possession. I am wondering if it is safe to use my main file and import it into a game I intend to go online with?

If this is the same as the original SM, should be fixed by simply using 5 or less Pokémon on that battle. That's all.

Thanks, this ended up working flawlessly.
