  1. Pokemon Center Birthday Flabebe, self-redeemed on violet, traded to scarlet, and loaded into PKhex without making any changes in PKhex. This flabebe (now evolved into Floette) has an SID of 0000 while the one in the event database in PKHex has SID 0001.

The one I redeemed w/ a code is unable to be used in raids giving the message "there is a problem with one of your pokemon" and it has a bunch of legality issues when loaded into PKhex (see attached screenshot). Manually changing the SID to 0001 seems to resolve all the legality issues (I haven't tried using it in game w/ altered SID).

l received it in game, with SID 0000. attaching pk file in its current unmodified state

Location: mystery gift/serial code, eng/NA copy of violet
Level: lvl 5, redeemed as soon as mystery gift option was unlocked
All Changes: no changes made, leveled up in game, evolved to floette

    Yes that I mean

easiest way is probably to add gold bottle caps to your inventory then go to the hyper training guy in whichever game youre in and then hyper train that pokemon. assuming its already level 100

  3. I am looking for a spreadsheet listing the current national dex up through Crown Tundra.

Currently I am working on a couple different Living Dexs in Pokemon Home and would appreciate any organizational resources, preferably in a spreadsheet format. They do not necessarily need to be Living Dex oriented, any reference material will be helpful.

Additionally here are some links to similar resources I've found online. I didn't make any of these, credits to each are in the links. I will try to keep this post updated w/ related content:

Pokemon Home Complete Living Dex List (UPDATED 11/17/20)

Pokemon Home Complete Living Dex Checklist (UPDATED 11/8/20)

National/Living/Shiny Dex Checklist (Up to Isle of Armor)

Living Dex Box Layout (Gen 1-8)

    Gen 8 Ball-Dex

    Useful resources but not spreadsheets:

Wait so what sorts of stuff do you use your CFW for? Just PKHex and pkm or other CFW features as well?

I'd say 90% of my pre-ban CFW time,  my switch was either dead or in airplane mode. other than that I used it for a GBA emulator. I was banned the week before SW/SH came out after leaving the switch completely powered off for over a month.

I didn't set up an emunand so N could still detect my modified sysnand the few times I was online. Even when I was on OFW

doing it that way I have been fine.  been doing it almost every day for months.

eh youre probs going to  100% guaranteed will  be banned eventually, I did the same thing for almost a year and they eventually got me. go emunand if youre not already. also buy another switch and use one for online stuff and one for cfw

  6. I don't think it has been distributed yet as the competition that they were rewards for participating in only recently ended. The PGL serial codes usually come out like a month-ish after the competition ends, so it should be soon maybe?

*edit* the results of the competition are going to be announced on May 14th, according to the PGL website. Hopefully there will be some more information on when serial codes will be distributed when the results are announced.

  7. MaxmoefoePokemon is basically the only pokemon channel I watch regularly on youtube. His content got me back into buying cardboard for the first time since around the release of the Pokemon Emerald game.

It's a funny channel and he seems to know his stuff. I recommend this video (language warning) if you're not already familiar with his content.

  8. TL;DR: using the Auto CP feature for pokemon who's CP would be higher than 10k does not set the correct CP and instead sets CP to 10000.

Workaround: Set stats, level, height, weight to desired values, uncheck Auto CP, recheck Auto CP to recalculate CP, it should still say 10000 and give the "Calculated CP does not match stored value" message when checking legality, set pokemon to desired box slot, right click and view the same pokemon again, you should have the Green "legal" check mark, if so set the pokemon to the same box slot it is already in. you should now have a CP of over 10k in game (not displayed in PKhex).

    ---------------- Original Post --------------------

In PKHex I have found a bug (I think) where an edited pokemon will say it is legal however after viewing another, legal, pokemon, and then viewing the edited pokemon again; it will say the pokemon is not legal.

The specific flag I am getting is "Calculated CP does not match stored value". Now I am pretty sure the edited pokemon is not legal as I am trying to change a pokemon caught in Go Park to have perfect IVs and 200 EVs. I am also trying to change the weight to match the species I am trying to create as I started with a different species caught in go park. However after editing/genning the level/stats/moves/nature/species to the desired species, and copying the height/weight values from a pokemon of the same species, caught in game, the newly genned/edited pokemon will say it is legal until I view another pokemon and then return to viewing the edited pokemon. Again I am assuming the edited pokemon is not actually legal but it says it is after being edited.

    *edit*

Viewing another edited pokemon that also exhibits this same bug, after viewing and edited pokemon that gives the above error, will flag the second edited pokemon as legal unitl you view a legally caught pokemon and viewing the edited mon again. Also editing the weight/hieght values of the edited mon to be outside of possible range for that species still yield the appropriate legality flag in PKHex along with the Calculated CP flag, and does not flag it as legal.

    *edit 2*

It is worth mentioning that setting all IVs to 31 and EVs to 200 yeilds a CP of 10000 if you use the Auto function in PKhex. My guess is there could be species specific max CPs like in PoGo?

    *edit 3*

I set the level of one of the edits pokemon to 40 and then set its CP to the max CP for that species, at level 40, in Pokemon GO, the legality flag for "Calculated CP does not match stored value" goes away and stays gone after viewing an actual legal pokemon. I am able to recreate this "solution" on other species at levels exceeding 40 up until the CP is at 10000 then the aforementioned error and bug happen.

    *FINAL EDIT (solved?)*

After genning 6 Go Park pokemon to have max IV/EV stats, level 100, and guessing accurate-enough weight/heights I decided to put them in my game anyways. All 6 showed a CP in 10000 in PKHex and continued to display the "Calculated CP does not match stored value" flag when viewed after viewing a legal pookemon. Once they were in my copy of Let's Go Eevee, all 6 displayed CP levels of 15k or higher, presentably corresponding to being level 100 and their respective species.

    IN CONCLUSION:

-The auto calculate CP function in PKHex DOES work for level 100 pokemon and will set CPs higher than 10000

    - The CP box in PKhex will display 10000 even if the actual CP is higher than this

    - The false legal flag actually appears to be a false illegal flag set after viewing a pokemon with more than 10000 CP

    yes

    correct!

In the birthday mon instance, correct.
In most instances, they follow game save language.

There are outliers. (have a look at the summary format I made, to compare the differences)
Example 1: Lillie's Vulpix has a Japanese preset Nickname, however its language tag will still the game save.
Example 2: Hyadain's Landorus has a preset Nickname, and language tag will be forced to be Japanese
Example 3: Ash Greninja nickname set to follow game save, however language tag is forced to Simple Chinese.

Correct. If the Pokemon's event is originally a locked out region event, that is when the region details have to be changed.
the language details may not necessarily matter.

For example, even for a locked Japanese serial code event, it could very well have its nickname and language tag set to English,
as in Pokemon XYORAS SMUSUM, you can choose what language to play as from the beginning.
(so you can play English language on Japanese console)

Thank you!! This is sooooo helpful

That's technically not how it works.

OT follows whatever OT that is preset to the wonder card.

What language wonder cards you receive determines on:
    1. what type of distribution it is (serial code, local wireless, Nintendo Zone/Online)
    2. what region 3DS you are using
    3. what language you are using on the save (language during gameplay)

    read more here:

oh that is incredibly helpful thank you,

to be sure im reading it correctly.. for example the brthday pokemon (comfey/evee/pikachu) I would technically have to be in japan to receive them legitimately, however they are not region locked so i could legally receive them on a US console however the Wondercard language, for this example, is always going to be japanese (according to this chart: https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/category/6-generation-7/), and as for the name of the pokemon after being received on a US console with a english language save; the name would be in english (according to the post you linked). So the only time I would need to edit a pokemons console region/language after receiving it to make it legal would be if i injected a region locked wondercard into a save from a console region that the event was "locked" out of?

    Our on-site events are here.
    https://projectpokemon.org/home/files/category/42-japanese/

(they're under japanese category, as the wonder card was only distributed in Japanese)

ah okay thank you, technically a Japanese console and game cane choose the English language option on first start up and then receive a JPN event and the pokemons name will be in english while retaining a japanese OT?
