Is there a tutorial on how to randomize an in game copy? I've seen lots of people do it, and I really want to know how. And also, I have no clue what a RAM dump is (I'm such a noob)

I am trying to open pcdata.bin (a bin file) into rswe and rste but it wont let me. it only lets me open folders. Can someone tell me what to do? Your help is very much appreciated. (P.S., I am new to the forums so i have no idea how much of this stuff works)
