  1. My first Lv.100 in Gen II was Feraligatr :P and in Gen III it was Swampert~ I battled the E4 over and over and over and over and over again. But that's it... Never got 100 in Gen IV through training due to lack of determination/time.

  2. No. As kazumi and I just explained in the last two posts, there is no way to determine legitimacy from the date and IVs alone. You can get virtually any set of IVs on any date. mingot (the RNG Reporter developer) will tell you the same thing.

Oh, okay. Thank you. :) I didn't see the second page of posts. Lol.

  3. Hacked.

    Suicune's Nature and IVs.

PokeRNG spread report for BOLD nature, 30+ IVs in all stats.

RNG Reporter's Seed to Time function.

    Suicune's Capure Date.

The seed needed to RNG abuse that set is impossible to hit on that date.

So... to truly make a legit Pokémon, you need to use what's generated in PokeRNG? Just generating a legit PID doesn't make it legit?

  4. Everything should remain the same as the Pokémon is originally from HG. Your game would automatically read it as received from trade, etc.

Btw, since your Suicune was originally from HG, shouldn't the name be in Japanese? Plus, the character limit for Japanese Pokémon should be 5.

  5. The Uncommon/Rare/Very Rare/Ultra Rare are GBA only. Sync is D/P/Pt only (There is one for HG/SS, and when I get that info from mingot, I will include it).

But for roaming Pokémon in D/P/Pt, do they have sync? Because all the ones I caught had no sync.

  6. Roaming Pokémon don't have Sync, right? So far, I've ran through all of my caught Roamers, and they all don't have the Sync.

Also, are Uncommon/Rare/Ultra Rare/etc. only seen on GBA Pokémon?

Since the legality type changed from 'Normal NDS or GBA' to 'Common NDS' is there anything new for GBA Pokémon?

  7. Yeah, no, that doesn't hold any water at all.

Pokemon have been designed after non-animals since the beginning. The first Pokemon in the dex, the Bulbasaur line, is based on a plant. The Nirdoan line are based on a mishmash of animals. Clefairy line is based off of fairies and pixies. And because I don't have all day, Voltorb and Electrode are designed to look like a Pokeball.

Pokemon have always had a variety of influences for the individual designs. Anyone who thinks Gen I/II has more "animal-like" creatures than Gen III/IV have clearly ignored the dozens of non-animal based Pokemon found in the first two gens.

I kinda feel like I sparked a discussion. If anyone wants to discuss this further, take it to Pokemon Franchise. Thanks.

Total agreement. Absolutely true. Pokémon will always be unique. :3

  8. Well, even today we still don't know 100% of the structure of Pokémon save files on the DS, which includes all of generation IV (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver). So there really is no definitive answer regarding which programs leave what kind of traces. If you're not okay with that, just don't hack your game. :\

I can tell you that the software written by me was made to be as close to the games' natural functions as possible; I can't really speak for anyone else's software.

And there is going to be 5th Gen soon... And possibly a new console... I want to still be able to edit my Pokémon saves (at a level of entirety, which still isn't possible yet.) <.<
