Exactly my point. And to be honest, the research and scientific evidence isn't there to prove or disprove either theory. Until we have that, people need to not get their panties in a wadd and be jerks to eachother. Immature fights over details are part of the reason I'm largely cynical towards people. [ Don't get me started on my views of the world. I know for a fact Evolution does not mean we came from Monkeys. I also know it doesn't really disprove anything in the Bible. The Bible has no record of every creature God created. The Bible also says nothing about light bulbs, and yet we still have them today. Does that make them blasphemous? So there's no reason they can't co-exist. The only reason that they 'can't' is because some people don't look into the details enough. Atheists are so concerned about being right half the time ( bare with my being overly generic ) and Christians are so busy being offended that nobody actually takes time to stop and think there's nothing offending anybody. Darwin waited for a long time to release his book to avoid being persecuted by the Christian public because he knew it would happen. Pretty sound reasoning on his part, if you ask me. Ignorance will continue as long as people have minds that are closed.

My theory:

A large portion of Atheists were once Christians or a Jewish-based religion.

They went to a bad church where they were judged by ignorant followers,

so they left. Now they think everybody is just as bad as the people who

judged them. Amazing how ignorance leads to more ignorance, eh? :\

I was thinking more along the lines of most people don't know what 'evolution' is.

It's not monkeys turning into people; it's natural selection.

Technically, evolution is a bad thing; Mutants are surviving better and more

frequently than non-mutated species. IE: Black/White moths-- black one's are harder

to find, so they are killed less often. Thus you have an extinction of white moths,

and the 'creation' of a 'new species' that is really just the 'old species' with one difference

in dna. At least, that's my understanding.

Sabeta makes really good points, and asks questions I've asked myself before.

YuzuruHitokiri seems like he is out to try and prove Christian-based religions wrong, as everything he says is against it, or irrelevant to the topic as a whole. His response to my reply ( which was mostly agreeing with him ) even suggested that he really just wants Christians to feel like dumb-asses because they believe in a God.

Greencat guy is pretty chill.

Yes, it is a fairly stereotypical label applied to people in the south. HOWEVER you do NOT need to be in the south to be a redneck, and redneck's are definitely real. Haha.

And you know the sad thing? People still are racist, and lots of people don't know what racism is, even after we had a war about it. How stupid can a country be?

Anywho - I'm off to bed, because I trust that our [ unfortunately ] underpaid troops protect us from terrorist threats very well. Can you believe our government is considering lowering or removing their pay!? D:

Well, my school has a red belt, with one black stripe on the bottom, then black. I've seen others where every belt has small black stripes before you promote to the next one ( and no -- I couldn't read korean to save my life. You have not! What is your primary language? I've always been curious about languages.

As of now, I'm trying to not forget Spanish, learn French and Japanese, and I've always known English.
