  1. The DS's are temperamental in sending and receiving supplies. I've had transmissions be cut off completely, missing several bytes of data (corrupting the base64 encoding), and then it would suddenly work again.

Well my 3DS doesn't even connect to the DNS server, but I hope it just starts to randomly work like you said your DS did, until I find a solution at least...

  2. I have a problem that seems strange to me. I used to have a DSi, and it worked perfectly. I could get Pokemon to my DSi easily and quickly using my local IP and changing the DNS on the DSi to my local IP.

Now that I have a 3DS, the DNS server doesn't even register the 3DS connecting, because it isn't! I've set both of the DNS IPs to my local IP on my 3DS (one for the 3DS connection, and one for the old DS games connection), but it doesn't acknowledge anything! It simply says that it cannot connect to WiFi when I try to connect to the GTS in game. This is very frustrating... my local IP is 10.0.0.202 and that is what everything is set to. I didn't change any settings on my computer for any program that would block the ports that I used when I had my DSi.

Maybe the 3DS just doesn't work with ShinyGTS? :S

Edit: Been using Pokemon Black with Gen V files by the way.

  3. It prevents cheating on the GTS/negotiations and stuff, which would probably be a huge issue otherwise, and completely unfair.

It isn't a problem, I agree with it, really.

Well I make sure that mine are completely legal first, so you don't have to worry about getting illegals from me! ;P

  4. What I do is usually make a code out of it if I have an action replay. But right now I'm assuming that you don't have an action replay.

An alternative would be to download a program called "shinyGTS". You can find it by searching google and clicking on a link to this website. Then when you open it, you need to know your local IP address which can be found by opening the command prompt and typing "ipconfig" and pressing Enter. Then where it lists IPv4, that is what you must type into the IP field in shinyGTS. Then start that server. Then on the right side of the program, click on the appropriate selections, then add the pokemon or folder of pokemon. Then click start server for that side. Now go into your wifi options on your NDS. Go to your set up and switch "Auto obtain DNS" to off. Then edit it to the IPv4 address that we found earlier. Now go to a wifi trade in your game, and once you get into the wifi trading room, you will have all your pokemon collected. Make sure that you put them all in a box so that their stats become what they're supposed to!

  5. Hello MrEobo!

Welcome to Project Pokémon! :) There seems to be a lot information about Pokégen and those things, and off course there also are a good amount of people involved in competitive battling! You sure have to look at those boards, I think you are on the right place there! By the way, are you playing the Oboe, looking at your name? ;)

Anyhow, enjoy your stay and do not be afraid of question things! See you around!

Thanks! And no, I don't play the oboe. :P

I just like how Eobo looks xD

  6. Oh, hey. I'm MrEobo. :3

I thought of the name myself I guess, and I really love playing Pokemon for fun and competitively.

I also like to Pokegen legit Pokemon, so if you need help with that, just ask!

Hope I like it here xD
