  1. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/GEMS_Wifi

    Why I can't make it:

I wish I could code these things myself, but I'm not really much of a programmer myself and don't know how to use DevKitPro or any good at C++ for compiling homebrew apps. Also, I don't own any compatible Wireless devices (RT2500~60 Chipset) with for capturing things like DS and Wii Signals other than the devices their selves.

What it would do (More to come):

A Homebrew Application strictly for sending Generation IV & V (Even though there isn't anything yet, It'll probably be fairly easy to dump them from Saves with Hex Editor just like I've done for HG/SS before programs were able to do it for you in Saves. Generation V should and will have WCs like GIV despite opinions) Wonder Cards wirelessly to the DS through *.pcd files. Having a Folder and selecting which Wonder Card you want to Distribute.

    Things to be added later:

    • Wonder Card Picture Previewer (like Pokémon Mystery Gift Editor and it's Show Card Preview feature) [Vertical and Horizontal for 16:9 and 4:3 TVs]
    • Cry Sounds when in Distribution Mode
    • PKMN Sprite (Could have detection for Wonder Card Distribution Value, if Platinum shared, Platinum Sprite and so forth. Maybe a Box above the Wonder Card display)
    • Throbber (Could have the PKMN Sprite Animate once sending the Wonder Card, or a simple square throbber)
    • Settings to restrict Wonder Card's Distribution Value for each Game Version (Distributions for certain versions / All Versions)
    • Wonder Card Queuer (Press a button to move onto the next Wonder Card in a folder, or select which Cards to Distribute, and hit a button to move on to the next queued Wonder Card)
    • Wonder Card Capture Mode (Capture a Wonder Card that's in hosting mode and saves it as a PCD file) [Thanks to trance for the idea!]

Concept Layouts (Might change the BG to a Darker Blue Tiled one for less eye strain):

[Wii] Before Distributing (Press A to Distribute w/Animate and Sound Cry):

    th_wiiver.png

[DS](Animated GIF) Before Distributing (Press R for Card Switch, A to Distribute w/Animate and Sound Cry on Card):

    th_3.gif

    How it would be useful:

Anything you could think of really. Not having a Flash Cart but a Homebrew Channel on the Wii with a Retail Copy and DS. I mainly use custom Distribution Roms with Patchers to send my Wonder Cards to my games. I'm quite tired of using these things even though it's basic as can be. Plus it would conserve space not having multiple files that are 8MB/1.5MB. Where as it would take up 856 Bytes times around how many files you have on your SD/microSD/microSDHC Card.

    Conclusion:

In the end it's also just as legitimate (Legal, for people using that terminology) getting the Event as long as you had the Wonder Card straight from the Event. It's a steal, and as great as acquiring an Event legitimately like PBR Pikachu for instance. It's the perfect bargin and solution for people not wanting to fiddle around with their Networks for the GTS exploits, and want a generated Pokemon with a different Nature randomly. If developers didn't decide on it originally because of some single Event that was made up by a fan, then why not a Wii Version? It's not like anyone is going to take their Wii to an Event and distribute some derogatory thing. Besides, PP does have some programs that deal with Wonder Card files at least. Why not?

If it hasn't been thought of before. This is something to keep in mind though. I have a contact that has knowledge of sending Wireless Signal activations through compiling his own custom applications to a few DS games of the Rockman (Megaman) Series of games. I'll ask him if nobody else knows much about Wonder Card signals. Either that or I'll purchase a PCI Card that has the Chipset itself eventually for reading the WC Signals and attempt to figure it all out on my own. Both ways will take a long time probably.

    Thanks for reading.

  3. I haven't seen anything on Japanese blogs, Auctions, or Google yet.

Besides just some person wanting one on neoseeker that might have his facts wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if it was just a hack. The latest I've seen about preview showings was July 6th from what I was reading on some Toho site for the very latest. I'd patient. ;)

  4. 1. The first 3 Japanese events: Concert Chatot, and the Pokefesta Magmar and Electabuzz... they've all got very strange distribution values (00BD, 00D7, 00DA). Maybe it was just due to their being such early events; anyone know what was up with these?
Mine are like these too for the first 3 Wonder Card Events for Japan.
    2. Kyoto Cross Media Experience 2009 Pikachu... although this is supposed to be for all Gen IV games (from what I can see about it, anyway), it has a strange 800D value (D/P/Hg/Ss, excluding Platinum).
Mine's 801D, probably just extracted wrong. Everything else besides Distro ID seemed valid in Hex. I think I uploaded it when I saw that with the older submission, before file attachments suddenly went down.
    3. Birthday '08 Charmander. It uses an 800C value
    Mine's 800C too.
  5. I hope you could get the Celebi WCs fast when it gets released too.
If it isn't submitted here by the time I get it. Will do.
I think I may be using the Mystery Gift editor wrong. All my .pkm extractions say the pokemon were hatched in Oreburgh. Doesn't sound right.
The PKM out of the Wonder Card needs to be generated by game in order to make a valid PKM file. The PKM within the WC simply generates the information for the Pokemon in-game once you receive the Gift.

Taking the PalCity distributions as an example, pokemon can be the same on the outside but with different IDs for the different dates that they were distributed in different locations.

Likewise, these Eevees could have ID numbers for different dates and locations. The [first] Eevee which we know has ID 01110, was distributed to participants of the regional tourney in Chiba on the 11th of January.

What we don't know is whether a differently ID'd Eevee was distributed for every consecutive regional tournament (there have been seven so far since, today's included). I can only find details on a 01110 Eevee. As far as we know, if we haven't seen additional Eevees, we assume ID of 01110 and distribution date of 11/01/10.

The PalCity Distributions are different in this case because they each a have a different move which makes it unique to the other dates for each of them.

There hasn't been any announcements for different Eevee moves for each date/regions, let alone comparing last year's WCS Gold Milotic. Even looking around on Yahoo Auctions for the Data Transfer, I haven't seen any move changes getting the Wonder Card after 01/11, for a Card dated 01/24, unless they were using real/fake data replicated off the one for 01/11. I personally still think it'll be like WCS Milotic. Would be kinda cool though.

  10. Whoops! I forgot about that! *Slaps myself*

Anyway, I'm restarting Blue Moon today, and my brother is restarting Red Sun. I need a little clarification on Free Tournament mode. I heard that if I send Navi data to him first and he sends it second, I will be able to fight his Navis in Free Tournament mode with their original AI, while he'll fight mine with a different one, and vice-versa? I also heard that after I beat a Navi in the championship, I get his/her Secret Chip, but the version I get is based on what Continue the other player was on (ex. same Continue = 1, one Continue higher = 2, two Continues higher = 3). This doesn't make sense to me, because I won't be able to get 3 of the V1 secret chips from his Navis unless we both enter Continue2 at the same time and get our other Souls. Then, he has to get one continue ahead of me so I can get his V2 Secret Chips, and vice-versa. Then, I repeat those steps to get the V3 Secret Chips, and trade with him to get the 18 Secret Chips from my Navis. By then, we're on Continue4 or Continue5. Another theory I heard was that if the Navi has an HP boost by XXX-XXX, YYY-YYY, or ZZZ-ZZZ, I'll get their V1, V2, or V3 Secret chip. I'm at a loss as to which one is true.

I'm not really sure, but it's definitely accumulated by HP Rates of what the other person's is sending the Data to you, lower triple digits give V1s, middle triple digits give V2, and higher triple digits and past 1000 HP give V3. I'm not totally sure about the Continue+'s. I don't think it's true because I haven't seen that with my games.

Also, after you exchange Navi data, you're able to encounter them in their respective tournaments, do their stories (minus Soul Unison, which I have on my Action Replay), and encounter them on the net like your own to collect their V1, SP, and DS Mega Chips? Do they appear in the same area that their corresponding Navi appears in?

They usually come up in the same area for their location as their other version counter part, so that there's a Random Encounter in every area. You can fight their set Encounter V2~3 in the Area they become Random in. I forget about acquiring their DS Chips though, it's been a couple of years since I personally started over, and I already have a complete Data Library on Playthrough 4 for my last Playthrough.

I highly recommend sending them on Playthrough 2 or 3, then deleting them as you defeat them in the Tournament that way the Shared Navis don't get all scrambled when you fight those. You'll get repeats if you have their Data in just like you would through next Playthroughs.

Finally, are Duo and GrandPrixPower counted towards the list of Secret Chips in Japan, but not in English? Or do they appear in the Library at all? Do they even work in the English games, or do they freeze it up like Falzar, Gregar, Django 1/2/3, and the Count 1/2/3 from EXE 6?

They are not since they're Event Chips. Event Chips for EXE2, 3 (no Punk P for Data Library), 4, 5GBA, & 6 never go into the Data Library.

GrandPrixPower G and Duo D work fine on English games, but their made up data made by an Card e-Reader+ and using the Special Chip Transmission Card for that device will not be presented in an English game. As the Card e-Reader+ isn't compatible with English Regions.

Hacking it on an English or Japanese game without the Card and Card e-Reader+ device results in having a Blank Chip with no picture, description, and name.
