Oh hah, I didn't see that. But, will it all register correctly in the pokedex?

I've been looking around for quite a while now and haven't found a topic like this. Since how I only have one DS, I want to move some .pkm files from a pearl save to a platinum save. Is this possible to do? Or would it be a better idea to get a hold of another ds, trade, and avoid the trouble?
