So I was really excited to possibly go to VGC this year as I would have time off from work. Looks like I won't be able to make it... My mom just got put in to the hospital today and I really don't have the spare cash for a trip to San Jose as I just got on unemployment after finishing my contract at 2K Games. Barely scrapp'n by now... So I tend to do this a lot anyways, especially with MMO's since my kicked my WoW addiction a few years ago. I'll be moving on to other interest. Playing a bit of Witcher 2 right now, game is really good. The Distribution thread I had running seemed to be really good with the method and rules I had in place. If anyways wants to it over and repost their own thread with my style that would be cool. I'll be around here and there... Peace Out~
  3. add wireless router, pc, running smallftpd good to go
  4. I've take my retail save and put it on my flash card, so I'm assuming yes its backwards compatible
  5. Use Pokegen, don't bother with Pokesav unless you want to edit items, trainer data, myster gifts.... here is a guide for pokegen. - http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?14026-Guide-How-to-generate-Gen-V-Pokmon-in-PokGen Then use this to transfer the pokemon to your game by connecting to a fakeGTS. - http://pokegts.us/upload_file.php or this to create pokemon - http://pokegts.us/pkmbw.php use this to check legality - http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org/
  6. could just flag it as "invalid / event only" ? like you do certain moves of event pokemon
  7. OT Peridots added a ton of pokemon check them out at this link - http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org/?p=search&pokemon=0&tid=%40peridots&pid=&generation=0&lvf=0&lvl=1&nature=0&public=1
  8. TRUe http://www.serebii.net/events/dex/149.shtml
  9. lol, way to bump a 3 week old post anyways, i'm sure people can still ask if their pokemon was made correctly or not. This is a legality forum...
  10. If the pokemon is hacked without an ability, "Unknown", it passes the legality analysis.
  11. Gen III and IV pokemon have their name in all CAPS if it is not nicknamed, this is not detected in the legality analysis. Gen IV Gengar Name should appear as GENGAR if not nicknamed This pokemon - http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org/?p=detail&uid=81538 name has upper / lowercase letters and does not have nickname checked but reads as valid in the legality analysis. Pretty minor but thought I'd point it out.
  12. there is nothing wrong with either one, just make sure you deposit the pokemon into your PC box and take it back out there is a bug with pokegen if you receive a pokemon from fake GTS and it goes to your Party first, it messes up the stats.
  13. All starter Pokemon have been added as DW form and Shiny
  14. don't use pokesav use pokegen there are two different file sizes, party box and storage box that file is for storage box
  15. what timezone is the site in? date added seems to be a day ahead from when I upload mid day
  16. Gen IV pokemon that are uploaded can not have their legality to be checked by the user that uploaded it unless the pokemon is public. The output window shows "Access not allowed"
  17. Chandelure Your nickname escape sequence is incorrect Pokemon is hatched but you have met location as Link Trade, set it to Day-Care Couple hatched pokemon come in a Poke Ball Dates can be the same, most likely are when mass breeding typical hatch location is Route 3 Hidden Power Dark? if thats what you want, other wise look up Metal Kid's hidden power calculator... Your SID is 0... http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Trainer_ID_number Generated a new PID for the hell of it by leaving the PID field blank and then saving as .pkm for further analysis use this site http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org
  18. First make sure you deposit each pokemon into your PC box and then take it back out. There is a bug that causes the stats to be incorrect, from the look of the file sizes you have party pokemon and boxed pokemon. Then double check everything with this guide - http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?14026-Guide-How-to-generate-Gen-V-Pokmon-in-PokGen I'll take a look a one for now.
  19. I dont understand the error for this one, says I have invalid characters in the OT name and nickname. I use the same OT name in other pokemon, and use the same type of characters for others nicknames as well. http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org/?p=detail&uid=79466 and normally it doesn't check for non-Latin characters EDIT: nevermind, I found out what the error was. I had language set to English, when I should have set it to Japanese...
  20. OK, ya Pokegen doesn't automatically add a terminator at the end if the name is full length and ends with trash bytes. Had to manually add it... Normally with a name like Roggenrola you don't have to add a terminator at the end, it would automatically do it when saving it to .pkm
  21. I'm not sure if this is a bug with your legality analysis or pokegen. Basically right now in Pokegen trash bytes left over after evolution or nicknaming a pokemon show up as actual characters. Like the example in my thread showing Raggenrola Roggenrola Boldore\FFFFla Gigalith\FFFFa It returns this error on your legality analysis ► Nickname Boldore\xFFFF\x6C00\x6100\x0000 All characters in name are valid. Invalid terminator sequence in trash bytes. it could be due to the original name of Roggenrola being the full 10 characters and ending with \FFFF but then it can't end with that after it evolves... http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org/?p=detail&uid=79069
  22. Gen IV Terminator and Trash Bytes Wild Gen IV - In Pokegen a Pokemon caught in the wild appears with their name and no escape sequence or trash bytes after it. - Once this pokemon is transfered to Gen V it will appear with the traditional escape sequence \FFFF\0000\0000\FFFF depending on the length of the Pokemon's name. Hatched Gen IV - When a Pokemon hatches it will have a string of trashbytes unique to that pokemon. - Upon evolution or nicknamed the trash bytes are over written with its new name. - If the name is shorter than the previous name than trash bytes are left over from its previous name. - These trash bytes can be fixed by nicknaming the Pokemon and then Nicknaming it back to its original name. - After changing it back to its original name the Nickname flag no longer appears checked in Pokegen. - For Pokgen in Gen IV to simulate this just simply type in its name as it should appear with nothing else after it and without the nickname flag checked, just like a Wild Pokemon. - Then once it is transfer to Gen V it will receive the traditional escape sequence \FFFF\0000\0000\FFFF Pal Park Gen IV - All Gen III Pokemon have unique trash bytes after being Pal Park'ed - Simply create the Pokemon as a Gen IV .pkm and then run through trashbytes.exe - Then run the pokemon through Kazo's PokeTransfer.exe - This way it keeps its original trash bytes but the last section is replaced with \FFFF to end the sequence. Event Gen IV - Pokemon recieved from a Mystery Gift have its own set of trash bytes but are very simple. - Type in the Pokemon's name and then fill in the remainder of the space with \FFFF\FFFF\FFFF - example: SHAYMIN\FFFF\FFFF\FFFF\FFFF
  23. My thread covers Gen V Trash Bytes in Gev IV were a lot different, basically if the Pokemon was Pal Parked or Hatched without a nickname then it needs trash bytes. Where as event pokemon have an all \FFFF\ escape sequence. More info here - http://projectpokemon.org/wiki/Trash_Bytes
  24. Hatched Gen IV Pokemon should have trash bytes after their nickname. Drag and drop the .pkm on to trashbytes.exe to fix it. Location should be Day Care Couple (G4) Hatched Location should be Poketransfer You completely forgot to enter OT data, make sure to run the .pkm through trashbytes.exe once you fix the OT data.
  25. Dunno if pokemon can have the same name of other pokemon, might want to change that. All your pokemon are missing the escape sequence in their nickname. Read this guide for more info - http://projectpokemon.org/forums/showthread.php?14026-Guide-How-to-generate-Gen-V-Pokmon-in-PokGen Every Pokemon has 0 happiness, the base happiness is usually 70. Look it up on serebii Your Politoed has DW Ability but does not have Extra Bytes set to 1 Your Tyranitar has a Gen IV tutor move but was hatched in Gen V The Salamance has a Gen IV tutor move but was hatched in Gen V I noticed your IV's where not flawless for any Pokemon, which means you must be using the PID Finder. DO NOT use the PID Finder when creating pokemon for Gen V. Simply leave the PID field blank and save the pokemon as a .pkm You can read more about that in the guide linked above. In Gen IV pokemon do not have a PID to IV relation if the Pokemon is hatched or from an Event, meaning you can generate a PID and then set all IV's to 31. Also please make sure to double check your moves from any online pokedex... and check pokemon legality here http://pokecheck.kraftpaper.org
