Was it during the Afternoon period?

Ok for starters, you are not to discuss downloading of roms in any form. This is against the forum rules and can result in a ban. The only way to legally acquire a rom is by ripping it from the game you legitimately own. Consider this your warning! Now secondly, no you do not need an emulator to play the games. That is what flashcarts are for. You cannot find a ROM in the downloads because I have not provided one. You are to acquire your ROM through legal methods if you wish to play my hack.

Just a quick update: errors were found in the location lists and they have been re-uploaded. If you have previous downloaded the location list please re-download it for the fixes.

Your welcome! if memory serves me correctly Celebi may have been intentional. (cut me some slack it's been almost 5 years since I created this now) But if I remember correctly both Celebi and Mew were placed in Eterna cuz I didn't know where else to put them. Unless it is listed in another location in the guide then I think that is where it should spawn. the only real glitch to it is it's supposed to be 1% chance and sometimes you can run into 3 in a row, or worse, 2 in a double battle (the one event in the forest causes encounters to be double battles) Also Celebi's lore states it came from the forests. Yo right!? Your depiction of it had me in tears. I commonly think about things that way with both Pokemon and MTG. I always just kinda left this loosely referenced so that people get the surprises with the trades but that works too.

Perfect Heart location list is now uploaded on the first page. Perfect Soul will be here soon enough (don't ask when!) It's an excel document so for those that don't have excel I'm sorry... It's in .ods format so Apache OpenOffice should be able to open it. Upon opening it in excel I did receive some format errors but it seemed to remain intact. I've gotten similar errors on essays I've written when I'd create them in openoffice and then open them in word at school and at worst it would remove margins or some other nonsense. So theoretically all information should remain intact. Me and Mathrian both wish you all Happy Holidays.

I had a feeling as such. Your description made me smile as it reminded me of the old NES cartridges and how they would get scrambled sometimes if they were sitting in the bay slightly funny. *sigh* for the 300,000th time yes. if you were to actually read the thread you would see people have gotten it working in no$.

If you ask for already patched ROMs again you will be banned. Consider this your warning. To answer your other question there isn't much of a difference between gui and non. Non allows for more control where as GUI is simple and easy to use.

Honestly that sounds like it might just be random. Unless you can consistently recreate it that is. Then I'd suggest trying to repatching a clean rom. As long as the new rom has the same name as the old one you save file will still work.

No the story is not edited. Yes it is the US version. Completely clean with no patches applied to it. I check here frequently actually, though I haven't in a few weeks cuz of holidays and Assassin's Creed 3. If I had to guess I would say the same cheat would work but I can't be certain as I do not cheat, I also don't recommend DeSmuMe as many people have issues with it but I don't know if that emulator has improved over the past few years... As for morning afternoon and night it is time based. I don't remember the exact times anymore but they are based off whatever time it is.

Excellent news boys, girls, and cross-species! I have been contacted by the person that was working on the location guide and after a lot of hell that kinda reminded of the **** I end up in like every 2 years, they have returned and are continuing their work. So hopefully soon we will have a location guide posted for those that want one. Kanpai!

Glad to hear it! Enjoy the game. Yea, please do report back on whether or not that worked. I do intend on playing my DS someday again... Please do read the thread next time, or at least read the posts above where you are posting. On this page I said:

Honestly I don't know. As of update 1.8.9 I had roms stop working that worked previously and I can't figure out what the issue is. Frankly though I have been a little lazy with it... I vaguely recall having this issue a few years ago when I first updated my Acekard and if memory serves me correctly I removed everything from my Card completely and freshly installed AKAIO software. Some of my roms don't work currently and my DS gets so little attention anymore that I haven't bothered repeating this process. Last I checked though my roms did work with 1.8.9 but I cannot speak for 1.9.0. So I guess try this fix and lemme know if it works for you. If not I'll dig my DS out and see if it's the current AKAIO software that is at fault. That is a pretty vague statement. Perhaps you could provide details as to exactly what you are doing. I have not switched over to 64-bit yet (though the past few weeks I've been considering it) so I cannot immediately tell you if it's due to 64-bit OS or if it is a user error on your part. Please provide detailed step-by-step descriptions of what you are doing. And to both of you, I apologize for the delayed replies, I try to check this daily but classes have just started again so I am intermittently busy. And an update for everyone pertaining to the location guide: I never heard back from the person who undertook the task so I do not know what the status is. This is typically why I am picky about who I work with, as you can never guarantee a job gets done once it is out of your hands. So my apologies to those of you still awaiting a location guide. Hopefully I will hear from this person soon.

It's roughly a 1% chance of encountering them. As for catching, that is decided by the pokemon and the ball you use. (I have not edited any pokemon's stats)
-
Actually I was gonna ask you if you raninto any Blissey. Cuz if so then something is horribly wrong, but if not then it's just poor luck for you...
-
No one ever answered this guys question so anyway: I am uncertain as to which run this is, all I get is an ID number and a name but at least 1 time when you fight Cynthia it is as follows: Spiritomb 84 Roserade 84 Togekiss 86 Lucario 87 Milotic 84 Garchomp 88 Again, not sure which fight that is and I'm not entirely up for looking through all 927 trainer IDs. (Honestly I don't even remember if you can fight her multiple times...)
-
I no longer seem to have contact with the writer of the guide so the only way I can confirm or deny your statement is by checking myself... My files have Blissey listed for morning at Route 201. Wow. I just checked an old file that I am not quite sure why it is in my modfied files folder but it does have those 2 pokemon listed as being at that location. Problem is, I believe that is the original file. (this file should be in backups not in modified) This leads me to believe I may have sent the author of the guide the wrong file. [insert explicit word here] Hmm something isn't right though. The file that lists Blissey there also lists Mew on the PokeRadar for Routes 200-209 & 210-29. Actually upon checking many locations this file has Mew listed in the PokeRadar. I fear my files may have become corrupt. Ok no that is not the case. The Blissey Mew file, I dunno where that came from but the proper file is correct. (I confirmed it is the proper file due to the fact that it has the starters at the lakes, where as the other file does not) So yea, Doduo and Houndor should be located at route 201 in the morning.

It looks like you gave it the command ARG1... And then the program did not like the command. Check the read me to make sure you are following the steps provided properly and perhaps you should provide a verbatim step-by-step so that we may actually begin to help you. Update on the location guide: Per the person working on it, it is coming along decent, they are just trying to develop an intuitive layout. But slowly and surely it is coming along.

Sounds like you have a crappy flashcart. Or you are playing with an emu (which I highly do not recommend for any of the newer ones except Platinum) If you want to eliminate your issues, get yourself an ak2i. I have had virtually no issues with it. (except this one time Phantom Hourglass froze and I hadn't saved for two and a half hours... never played it since, lol) Anyway, my point is, none of your listed issues are normal... Also an update for everyone, someone has come to me proposing to make a location list. I make no promises and hold no responsibility for it other than providing the files said person will require to do so. I will try to keep you guys posted though.

This should be asked in the ideas section, but yes anything is possible as long as you are familiar with the script. Please refrain from asking similiar question in people's threads in the future. We have sections for a reason. Haha! Good luck, he's elusive, that he is.

Yes.

Well as stated previously, I do not own a Mac therefore I cannot aid you with them, all I can tell you is that the .xdelta files are the patch files. Sorry...
-
The patch file is the .xdelta file.....

I did not abandon anything. If you read my last post in both this thread and the latest post in the other thread, you would be aware medical afflictions limit my abilities currently. Please do not post in this thread about things related to that thread. They are separate for a reason. Sounds like you had an issue patching somewhere. The best way to tell if the CE patch applied is to find a major battle (such as the first gym leader) and look at the levels of their pokemon. Now compare that to a guide of what the original game was (such as Serebii or GameFAQs). If the levels are higher then the patch worked. If the levels are the same then it did not. No one should have anymore pokemon that what they originally had. I f in the original game he has 3 then he should have 3. Just with higher levels. Whatever walkthrough you speak of lied to you sir. Don't patch PPCE over PP. To patch either game it should be as follows: Clean rom => PP patch = Perfect Platinum Clean rom => PPCE patch = Perfect Platinum Challenger's Edition Any other combination would be incorrect.

Ok, I'm going to make one long post replying to everyone at the same time: Your first question does not make sense. Your 2nd question, I am guessing you want to know exactly where each and every pokemon is? Well The person who wrote the locations guide for Platinum has not responded to my requests for a guide for these 2 games. so UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE THERE WILL NOT BE A LIST OF LOCATIONS. You look for a clean rom by ripping the rom from the copy of the game that you own. Anything else would be illegal. I myself have not extensively tested no$ with this hack (though platinum was built and tested via no$) so I can't say for certain what the issue may be. Your first question is confirmed. and your next questions are yes. Making wild pokemon stronger would leave a massive flaw in the game that many people over look. I leave stronger pokemon in the wild then you catch stronger pokemon to fight the stronger trainers it removes a lot of the need to actually raise your pokemon to beat the stronger trainers, which in the long run removes some of the challenge. See the first reply at the beginning of this post. Mew is in Ilex. I don't remember where Charmander is, though I think I answered this earlier in the thread (try reading every page) Also, see first reply in this post. I am glad to see you are enjoying the hack! I do know that lots of people are finding the game more difficult as they try to keep an equal team throughout the game. Personally I power level one or 2 pokemon and then proceed to use exp share and double battle to get the others leveled. This works good for me but usually then the E4 become a fight for my life and I use A LOT of revives. But the game is definitely playable no matter how you prefer to play the game and I hope you continue to enjoy it! Ilex it's just like any other rare encounter, but it also depends somewhat on the time of day. Also it is anywhere in Ilex that you have random encounters. As for Dia/Pal/Gira they are in the ruins themselves but honestly I cannot remember how I implemented that in the end anymore (sorry, it has been over 2 years now and life is chaos) p.s.: I do check and reply when I can. Recent health afflictions prevent me from being on my computer much lately (The horror!) Read thorugh the thread, I'm pretty sure I answered this somewhere earlier in the thread. Ilex. Next time read the thread. That has to be the most vague description I have ever read. Give a more detailed description of exactly what you are doing and I can proceed to assist you. Honestly I am not sure. I do vaguely recall and issue with the woods previously, but as I do not own one I can't be certain how to help you exactly... To all of you looking for specific pokemon: If it wasn't asked earlier in the thread then try using the radio to find them. We have discovered that the radio will actually tell you locations of pokemon I have hacked into the game. To everyone: I apologize I can't be on here as frequently as I'd like but I am having severe back issues as of late and generally cannot sit upright some days, but I will continue to reply on here as life allows it. Thank you all again for your support of my work and please continue to enjoy.

Hmm good question, I'll have to check on it though please bear with me as I have been bedridden for about a month now so anything I do lately is slow... The trades are where they have always been. You can check any guide any where on the net for Platinum and it will tell you where the tradable pokemon are and what you must trade. The event items are being held by said pokemon.
