I've been trying 14 pool 16 hatch lately against P, and it holds those retarded pushes that P likes to do nicely. Might as well expand earlier if you can, right? I have a feeling I'm taking my third way too late, but that'll come with practice. Usually, I'm getting like 6 bases or so per ZVP/ ZVT, and eventually just making them ragequit. I haven't actually killed a base in quite a while <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow.png" alt=":|" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/mellow@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Infestors are nice, too, but you may not have the APM to use them effectively. Remember to keep in mind your ability to play when you make a game plan.

Also, use your mutas always to pretty much only harass. They're not as good at straight up killing as other units, and they're great harassers. Wait till they move out and slaughter the mineral line while you get a defensive position ready

If they're four gating and pushing extremely quickly, speedling for the stalkers and some banelings and/or roaches for the zealots cleans it up, and is even better with spine support. If it's a late push, just remember to stay at least one base ahead, and use corrupters to shred colossi, Hydras to kill everything, and roaches to damage soak. Baneling carpet bomb is also a usable tactic against big groups of colossi/zealot, though its more for keeping the rest of your army alive to counter attack than stopping the push cold. If you can manage to keep the xels and creep spread, you can utilize stuff like ambush lings, bling carpet bomb, flanking roach hydra, corrupter ambush, spine crawler defensive lines, and mass creep spread. Eventually tech to brood lords and end the game. Keep in mind that this is coming from a player whose last 170ish zerg games have been 14 hatch, 15 pool , 15 gas against all three (4 with random) races in 1v1.
