If a Pokemon is obtained by a hacked wondercard but legitimatly soft resetted for, would the trash bytes show up as invalid?

How about starting in Download play mode? Going into Download Play mode essentially does the same thing - ignores the SR/cheat/etc settings. I have to use Download Play mode for some reason when I'm on WiFi with other people otherwise it freezes. I haven't tested it with PBR yet but has anybody else?
