I had another message to explain more but my internet hiccuped. X_X

EXP Share is very broken. It should have been a post-game thing. Amie also can give a boost if your poke likes you enough (3 hearts), and then you can get a Lucky Egg somewhere in the game at a hotel. My strongest level was a traded, 10 levels lower than my entire team Clawitzer, who was at 79. My twin though had a level 86 Florge. Don't know how that happened.

I think the game though is more fun because some of the newmons have interesting quirks. I like Clawitzer because it can learn everything it needs (even heal pulse) to abuse it's ability. Tyrantrum, via breeding, can learn all the elemental fangs, and technically gets stab on it. Even the atrocious Klefki (which I think is an underrated concept, so sue me), is very interesting play-wise. It's more fun than just making clones like they sort of did in Gen 5.

I think that some parts of the story are solid but need a better execution and/or more development. The villain to me has REALLY good motivations, something that resonates well in real life, though it is not illustrated well/at all in game, and I feel like only older audiences who look at some parts of the world would get. It is kinda misinterpreted though as some people look at Cyrus and think he's more of a good guy than this game's villain, which is wrong, because Cyrus was egotistical and sociopathic, as well as a huge liar. The villain in this game has good motivations, I believe, but is absolutely insane. One thing I like that Black/White had was that, even after you win, there are still doubts, which provokes thought, and I like that.

2 parter.

Especially after the nightmare that was HGSS right? (HGSS being a good game, but I meant the leveling).

Some Pokemon are actually okay, but a lot are disappointing. They want you to use Avalugg as your primary defence. Trollfreak. Especially the new list of Megas, as it is only limited to them atm. I hope there will be more in the future, because right now it looks like asides from a few obscures that absolutely love it (like Banette), a lot of them are just grossly overpowered versions of already overpowered Pokemon (like Garchomp). I don't count Mewtwo because it is supposed to be overpowered.

You can actually EV train right before the first battle of the game, actually. It's pretty funny: they did a lot to improve competitive aspect and discourage hacking via Pokegen or whatnot.

EXP share is a key item which you can turn on or off: affects your whole party. It's le broken.

You know I have no problems with being disgustingly overleveled. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh.png" alt="xD" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/laugh@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" /> And frankly I'm not fond of a lot of the new mons so much oldmon does not bother me, a lot of the new ones look bloody stupid, like the keyring. Seriously, Gamefreak? Seriously? A freaking possessed keychain?

But it's good to know that I can wait. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

No it's fine! I love to hear others' opinions. <img src="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile.png" alt=":)" srcset="<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Hmmm. So it's a meh story but interesting added features. I heard about the exp share thing-- that divides all exp equally across your party, right? (what happened to regular exp share held item?) What if you get a mon that's a lot lower level than everyone else? Does it use Unova's levelling system?

It's not that I'm reluctant... I'm just broke. ^^;;;

I know I am a stranger and it's rude to just hop in, but I thought I'd give you my two cents.

X/Y in my opinion is a heck of a loto f fun, in the sense that the gameplay is better. As Wraith said, the aesthetics are great, and the mons feel more 3D )because of Amie, not graphics). Some say the game is challenging if you don't use EXP share, so best keep it off. Starters are fun too. Story, howeever, is a long shot not as good as Black/White in pretty much all directions - I wouldn't say it's the worst, but it's efinitely not an upgrade. Some of the ideas are good, but some of them also feel out of place, or don't add up and aren't paced as well as Unova.

Wireless features are substantially better. If you are reluctant, wait till X/Y2 or Z.

Also this game has Platinum's syndrome: too many Pokemon to choose from. Even wild Eevees! This is actually the first game I have never even laid a finger on Repels. Another warning is that there is a lot of oldmons: new Pokemon so far unfortunately number up to 69 so far. Maybe there is more data and perhaps a sequel will unlock the other half. I am hopeful for that at least: idk.

They are obviously holding off all the actual good features until next game, Z or X2Y2 or ZxZy or whatever they are planning. The aesthetics is great though, but don't rush the game or you will be sorely disappointed. The Internet function with random challengers is also fun and keeps you busy. Exp share, however, is so broken it may be best to turn it off if you do not want to be disgustingly overleveled. Starters are great: they're one of the best set so far and you get the kanto starters soon after. Game is great though and I am taking my time to enjoy it as they say postgame is rather barren.

I like the idea of Fairy. It felt necessary to stop the whole Dragon + Steel metagame that was going on, but they did it a little too much, that it feels too OP as a typing (not the Pokemon all the time). It is only weak to Steel and Poison for one thing, which is downright retarded. It should also be weak to Ghost and NVE vs Ghost as well. But nooo... now Spiritomb and Sableye actually have a weakness... to pink stuff. They are nerfing Special Attacks and raising Special Defence so much this gen... it's going to be even more physical in standard battles. Never mind that there's Huge Power Mawile with high defences and Sucker Punch/Swords Dance. If "balance" was what they're looking for, Gamefreak didn't actually do all that great. They had the right idea, but execution seems sloppy.

Yeah, especially because they buffed Butterfree and Wigglytuff, and the latter we all knew was hopelessly outclassed by the other Fairies (Clefable) that it seemed they gave up on it. Eh who knows... maybe they did buff the bird after all but I'm not privy on the details, even though I have one in game.
