tcg Pokemon Trading Card Game

Just came across this when I found my Fire Red. It came complete with a Limited Edition Pokemon Card.

Not sure I ever actually played it, other that to check that the cartridge was OK. Does anyone else remember this?

If you have the Special Edition FireRed or LeafGreen, then it will come with the Wireless Adapter and a Limited Edition Pokémon Card. FireRed comes with a Limited Edition Pokémon Card of Charizard and LeafGreen comes with a Limited Edition Pokémon Card of a Venusaur.

The Trading Card game was (I presume) Generation 1 as it is for the Gameboy Color. Just as well I found one of my Poekmon edition Game Boy Color's the other week. It currently has Peokmon Yellow in it. May have to try out the Trading Card game and see how average it was as I don't think it was particularly well received at the time.

I don't think I bought it new. Probably got it off ebay or a forum.

No Pokemon trading card in Leaf Green though it does have the Wireless adaptor, I thought they were all released with the adaptor (in the UK anyway).

I certainly remember this game, as I still have it; it was good for a 1-2hr drive. I quite enjoyed it, hasn't aged well, but it's still good for what it's worth.

Pokémon TCG was one of my favorite games on the Game Boy Color. It's well worth playing through.

And there was a Special Edition of FR/LG that came with cards? I assume that must have been in another region besides the US since the only special thing I got was the Wireless Adapters and the Pocket Trainer's Guide pre-order gift. ~STBE
