Hucz Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) I wasn't able to find an Anime/Cartoon based .PKM collection. I thought we as a community could create a thread dedicated to this theme. Please note: these files are meant to be used with Pokémon versions HeartGold & SoulSilver. I thought we could start by making Ash's Pokémon† and then go from there... † I will be using in-game Trainer Red's Pokémon as templates somewhat. What this means is, I booted up my SoulSilver game, went to go battle Red, and when I got to him, I used a code to capture his Pokémon. So far, I've only caught his Pikachu (once you capture one opponent's Pokémon, the battle ends). Pikachu's IVs were all 30. It seems as if the rest of Red's Pokémon have IVs of 30 as well. I'll confirm this soon... Note: Please feel free to post a reply with ANY helpful and accurate information so I can add it to this opening post. Ash's Pokémon Quick Links: [iCON]025[/iCON] Ash's Pikachu made its first appearance in EP001: Pokémon, I Choose You! When Pikachu is received as the starter in Pokémon Yellow, the level that Pikachu starts at is level 5. This makes Pikachu's met at level approximately 5. Ash receives Pikachu from Professor Oak while in Pallet Town. Pallet Town is also found in the Generation I games. Pokéani states that Pikachu's level is 81. Red's Pikachu was level 81 in Generation III. In Generation IV, however, Red's Pikachu is seven levels higher than it's previous Generation III version. This difference of seven levels is applied to Pikachu's Pokéani/Generation III level of 81. This makes Pikachu's anime level approximately 88. Seeing as how Ash was able to catch Caterpie without even using Pikachu to weaken it, suggests that it was an easy catch due to a low level. This makes Butterfree's met at level approximately 3. Caterpie is met in Viridian Forest. Viridian Forest is also found in the Generation I games. This tells us that Ash most likely met Pidgeotto at level 18 or more. Given the timeline in the anime series, level 18 is fairly accurate. Just like Ash's Caterpie, Pidgeotto is met in Viridian Forest. Viridian Forest is also found in the Generation I games. This tells us that Ash most likely met Bulbasaur at level 9 or more. Given the timeline in the anime series, level 9 is fairly accurate. An in-game equivalent of Hidden Village does not exist. In Pokémon Yellow, Red obtains Bulbasaur from NPC May in Cerulean City. But in the anime, May raises many different Pokémon, and is situated in a forest by a pond (nowhere near any urban setting). In the game, it isn't possible to get from Route 9 to Route 24. However, there is no close to Cerulean City and Route 24 apart from Route 9. In conclusion, Route 9 is the most likely counterpart to Hidden Village. Pokéani states that Bulbasaur's level is 65, however, it also states that Ash's Pikachu is level 81. This makes sense considering the fact that Red's Pikachu was level 81 in Generation III. In Generation IV, however, Red's Pikachu is seven levels higher than it's Generation III version. This difference of seven levels is applied to Bulbasaur's Pokéani/Generation III level of 65. This makes Bulbasaur's anime level approximately 72. This tells us that Ash most likely met Squirtle at level 13 or more. Given the timeline in the anime series, level 13 is fairly accurate. Squirtle was caught after Charmander, and since we already know Ash caught Charmander on Route 24, Squirtle must have been met on Route 25. I just need to fix my sav. Feel free to post anything you want. Don't forget, I'll be adding more than just Ash's Pokémon soon (Misty, Brock, Gary, etc.)
Hucz Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 I'll also look at ZIP archiving all of Ash's Pokémon into a single file, once I've finished with his.
Hucz Posted April 12, 2010 Author Posted April 12, 2010 (edited) do you need help with that I should be OK, I'll be using High compression with 7zip to a .zip file, but thanks for the offer! Edited April 19, 2010 by Hucz
Yukio Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 Much appreciated. No problem, I always thought it would be cool to have anime pokemon on the team, get what I'm saying?
Hucz Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 I thought I would go ahead and mix things up a bit. Instead of burning out while making only Ash's Pokémon, I thought I would take a break and work on some other trainer's Pokémon instead. I wonder how far I'm willing to go…
shinji_spice Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 I like this idea a lot, i made some of the anime to play in my rom, but this are very cool Thanks, keep it that way
