Unknown GBA Type

Hi. I recently downloaded a Groudon pkm file. I have only edited the EV's and of IV's of the pokemon, but I cannot get it to pass the legality checker. It states that the Check sum, gender check, effort values, and trash bytes are all valid, but its type is Unknown GBA type, please help.

I figured it out. I had forgotten that I had edited it to be shiny. Is there anyway for him to be shiny and legal? I'll post him in a bit.

A Pokemon with any PID can be shiny and legal, just post your PKM and we'll take a look.

Because of the nature of these definitions, it is possible to check for the legality of the Pokémon, but impossible to check for legitimacy. Therefore, there is no objective way to tell whether a Pokémon is truly legitimate or not. Programs such as Legality Checker and pAC can only check for legality, not legitimacy.

Got that from a sticky. Legitimacy is a Pokémon (that might or might not be) made with an external device that is entirely normal and possible in the game without the device, but legality is always one generated within the game. So, see why it's doing that?

2 Things:

1. PID/IV MUST always be Type 1.

2. Set the Hex Values, accrdong to this guide:

Oh yeah and I'm not sure but those contest stats look illegal.
