"Transfer" a mon from Pt to B1 with only 1 3DS

Hey all. I've started B1 and want to get in a Lucario from Pt, which I rom'd, into Black, which I have on cartridge. However I don't have a second DS to transfer like big boss 'tendo intends you to. So in trying to achieve that myself, I tinkered around, since I couldn't find anything on how to do something like this, so I would like for someone to correct me on if I did anything wrong with the below part.

Loaded in Pt save, viewed my Lucario, and exported its' .PKM. Then opened Black save, and dragged over the .pk4 into an empty box space.

After I did that, something I noticed is that pkhex automatically set it's met location to "Poke Transfer", met level to 34 (where I left it at), and slightly edited Friendship & "Extra Bytes" values, so this makes me think I did this correctly..?
