Ink Dragon Posted March 23 Posted March 23 like the title says can't open the save, it plays fine in the retroachivement's version of project64. other wise issue is same as this one from the github. my file size doesn't match what is expected, I've tried making a new save with project64, I've tried using a save from retroarch's mupen64-next core. same issue for both. Kaphotics Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Your save file size (0x1F880) is not the same as that mentioned in the linked GitHub issue (0x1FFF0). It is 0x790 bytes too small from what has been document as "usual" save file sizes. If you are able to determine why your emulator is under-sizing the save data relative to other emulators, please share that info. Otherwise, you can try manually padding the file size in a hex editor to one of the expected sizes (0x1FF00 or 0x20000) and your file loads in the program.
Ink Dragon Posted March 27 Author Posted March 27 I haven't a clue on why either on is under-sizing them. I've got save compression turned off. I'll see if I can figure out the hex editing thing. It's a pity we don't have a save fixing program with all we know about pokemon saves.
