gamecubefan74 Posted February 26 Posted February 26 So I'm looking to create Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon (TRU Manaphy, TRU Darkrai, TRU Shaymin, and TRU Arceus). Normally I would just find the nature + IV spread that I want and paste the PID result that pops up in RNG Reporter or PokeFinder. But PIDs do not show up for Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon. So how do I know what PIDs are possible/legal for Gen 4 Wondercard Pokemon?
jacksonf Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) If I'm not mistaken, PIDs are not related to IVs in Gen4 Wondercards (different RNG calls, like Gen5). So, if you receive a Pokemon from those events (without fixed PIDs), you could have any PID-IV combination without restrictions (I might be wrong). Having said that, if you want a "legal" PID, you could use this script: https://github.com/hourglasseye/rngminion or try the RNG manip on real hardware. Edited February 26 by jacksonf

I want to RNG these Wondercards in HGSS since it's much easier to RNG Wondercards in HGSS than it is in DPPt. Will I get different PIDs in HGSS than Platinum, or do they generate the same way? I'm using the same target date, target delay and everything else. Only difference is using HGSS (which has a different calibrated delay from DPPt).
Kaphotics Posted February 27 Posted February 27 If it's not a specific PID for the wondercard, then the PID is random (unrelated to the main LCRNG; just think of it as uncontrollably random). HGSS is easier because you can RNG abuse for IVs in a mart without a wandering NPC to worry about. You just have to get lucky with the IVs and many attempts until you settle for a specific nature. If you aren't going to be RNG abusing for a result (instead generating), you can just use PKHeX's encounter database and not worry about using other tools to find spreads, since every IV spread is possible (2^30). 1

Can the Wondercard Pokemon in theory have ANY PID? Also, does HGSS generate PIDs for Wondercard Pokemon differently than DPPt does? Edited February 27 by gamecubefan74
