From what I see when it comes to EOS romhacking it's currently impossible to give third abilities to Pokémon. What you can do whoever is modify this Romhack yourself using Sky Temple and give Scolipede the Speed Boost ability by replacing one of its existing abilities.

Alternatively, you can also set Scolipede's Movement Speed to 2, effectively granting it a Speed Boost on top of its current abilities.

I did check Sky Temple to see if it was possible without editing after when my friend explained it to me. I do know I COULD edit it to do this but I wanted it to be an authentic run.

Thank you nonetheless for taking the time to tell me :) I think I will play it without.

Heya! Ive been wanting to try this hack for a while, and I was really intrigued by the shiny starters. Do you know what to odds are for those, and what the shiny odds are generally for this? Thanks!

Hello! Just discovered this mod, super exciting! Started a playthrough with Litwick and Alolan Vulpix, I'm in love, thank you for your work on this. Just wanted to know, is there a documentation PDF anywhere? In the download folder there's a "documentation.txt" file, but it's a bit hard to read and I was hoping to get some more information on the ROM (more things like what moves are added, what learnsets are used, info on evolution methods, etc. I've never played any PMD hack so I don't know if this stuff if common knowledge on SkyTemple, but just thought I'd ask here. Any info you can provide would be really helpful, but amazing work either way, so excited to re-experience this game again!

Just wanted to mention that Arceus is a little buggy. Its ability is listed as "$$$", and it's able to evolve into itself. Once it evolves, its ability becomes Filter.

A word of warning, the romhack allows recruitment in the Temporal Tower, including during the story, and if you do recruit Pokémon while advancing there, you will not be able to get rid of them unless you go back to treasure town. I'm not sure if it was intended or will be fixed though.

The download link of the romhack contains a "documentation" text document with the location of a many new Pokemon in the romhack including where to find all shinies and legendaries.

@WindchildWhimsy just wanted to confirm that several dungeons with restrictions don't work properly since 1.2. For example, Purity Grove no longer bringing your party to level 1 and Temporal Tower allowing recruitment as mentioned earlier in the topic ; and today I was able to enter Zero Isle South without it making my leader level 1 either (and allows recruitment).

Just a quick note, currently just cleared Apple Woods recruited a Bounsweet: it's first ability is Snow Cloak in the ROM, not Leaf Guard.

Following: sorry for spamming, but this is important. Not only are restrictions broken for a lot of Dungeons, but I just finished Zero Isle West with a Basculegion recruited in Brine Cave (level 40 or so). This dungeon DID properly bring it down to level 1, however upon finishing it the Basculegion remained at the level I finished it at: level 15, instead of going back to level 40.

I thought maybe this had something to do with the universal EXP Share of the romhack, but I'm not sure since it all worked fine before 1.2. This might just a scripting problem, since the dungeons do have their restrictions properly checked.

Edit for additional info: upon testing a bit, I noticed that Purity Grove (custom dungeon, but still) allowed me in without reverting my level back to 1 as long as I didn't have any items on me, without the usual restriction warnings. When I tried to enter it with one item in my bag, the game properly gave me the restrictions warning text, and my level actually was reverted to 1.

Edit 2: nevermind, it is the universal EXP share, at least in part I believe. If a Pokémon who's level is on standby for going up enters a level 1 dungeon, it keeps its level and then levels up. Only Pokémon who are not ready to level up by entering a dungeon due to the EXP share will be reverted to level 1 when entered a level 1 dungeon. However once again, this is inconsistent.

So I'm thinking overall, there is some scripting issues with restriction dungeons and the exp share, as well as other errors such as the one I mentioned above with Purity Grove. I don't know about the Recruitment restrictions though. I'm having a hard time pin pointing the issue. @WindchildWhimsy

i was wondering what kind of updates you will add to this (i hope for more starters~ for another playthrough) and once we get gen ten and pmd sprite repository adds the gen 10 pokemon to its site will you add them to this?

1. You can add your own starter choices through SkyTemple as of this version.
2. My understanding is that there's still a hard cap on pokemon count and she's already run up against it, so probably not

Hi, I'm new to ROMs and Rom hacking (like, I've literally never done it before AT ALL) and I've been having trouble getting my game to work after I patched it. It's suddenly much smaller and every time I try to open it it doesn't work and I don't know enough to even have a guess as to what's going on. My og .nds file was about 93.1 MB in size but now it's 635 bytes and I don't know if that's what's supposed to happen after applying a patch.

Could someone explain what I've got to do (or what I might have done wrong) so I can finally play the game?

(Also, I run a Ubuntu, if that means anything.)

I'm not clear on what you did wrong exactly because I've never seen a ROM shrink so much from a patch. The patch itself is bigger than that and the patched ROM should be 146 MB, according to my copy.

Could you maybe walk us through what you did with screenshots? I don't use Ubuntu so I'm not familiar with what patchers are there, so the visual would help.

If anyone who is in the post-graduation could confirm if level 1 dungeons are broken, I would appreciate it, for the creator.

I'm in post graduation and have been testing, so far level 1 dungeons seem to be working as intended for me. I've tried entering both with mons waiting to level up and those who aren't, and with and without items in my bag, every time my level has been brought down to 1 as normal. What I haven't tested is if the mon's level reverts to normal after clearing one of these dungeons. As far as I know I have the most recent version of the game

Thank you very much. Would you mind trying to finish one of them? Try Purity Grove with a Pokémon you don't intend on using for example, in case their level does in fact not revert properly, or just use a save state. It only has 20 floors.

Other than that this is simultaneously good news and driving me nuts. Because I am also obviously playing on 1.2 and I have NOT touched anything regarding dungeons, or patches, etc on Sky Temple, only the starter list, so I don't understand what's going on (I tried to play on the original patch to make sure it wasn't because of me too, and they were still borked). I'm still pretty sure it has something to do with the EXP share ; but it was working fine before 1.2.

Another thing: EXP restricted dungeons like Zero Isle North. Do you stilk get experience in them, and are you able to recruit in all Zero Isle dungeons in general?

Hey I've found a couple bugs with the zacian questline, nothing gamebreaking just some weird things happening.

1. After completing malice woods the morning after manaphy told me about marine resort as normal but when I went to the crossroads the zacian cutscene didn't play which I thought was supposed to happen after the last dungeon. However when I finished rumble badlands instead of going to the gzapdos fight it instead played the cutscene after the gmoltres fight again and when I went back to the crossroads the zacian cutscene played as normal for rumble and i had to play through rumble a second time. Im assuming it's because the game forgot to play the interactions because of manaphy and as they hadn't played it didnt realise I should have access to rumble.

2. When I finished bygone road and started the boss fight of the dungeon the shaymin from sky peak appeared in my team. Exact level moveset hp etc. After finishing the first part of the fight  it again appears in the second half.

Also I just remembered Hoopa Unbound is crashing the game whenever I load into a dungeon with it. Every other form change seems to be working fine.

Just finished Purity Grove with a Hawlucha, and its level reverted to normal after I completed it like it's supposed to. I also just went into Zero Isle North and I didn't gain experience as intended. Just did a quick run through of the first few floors of Zero Isle South and none of the pokemon tried to join my team (unlike in Purity Grove, where I did occasionally have pokemon trying to join my team). It does seem like dungeon restrictions work as intended in my game

Okay, so it seems like all my testing was all for nothing and the problem just comes from my file. It's a bit embarrassing. But at the same time, I simply don't understand why I'd be experiencing this when I haven't touched the ROM beyond modifying a starter in the Classic starter list, which is intended by the creator... Unless that would somehow precisely be the reason.
Anyways, thanks for coming back to me on this, I'll try to figure out the problem on my own, but if for now I'm the only person who has these issues, then it's not something the creator needs to look into.

I found the cause of the issue. It was not Explorers of Fortune after all. It was the single Action Replay code that I use, which allows guaranteed recruitment.

Even though the code only activates after a button combination and can be turned off with another, simply having it enabled in the emulator was enough to interfere with ALL dungeon restrictions (recruitment, EXP, and Level 1 behavior), most likely because it just hooks into the code of the game. I can't believe it didn't occur to me, especially when I was recruiting Pokémon in Temporal Tower (even though it was "off"). Disabling the cheat completely restored the intended behavior.

I'm sincerely sorry for the confusion, and thank you and other people who might have been testing as well. The somewhat good news I suppose is that if someone happens to use the same code someday and runs into the same issues, they might run into my messages and get it resolved.
