Syovere Posted June 13 Posted June 13 (edited) Woo! I remember you said that you intended to make it easier to use SkyTemple to change starter options in this version. Did that pan out? 'cause I wanna go with Rookidee if someone made the needed portraits. Edited June 13 by Syovere

I remember you said that you intended to make it easier to use SkyTemple to change starter options in this version. Did that pan out? 'cause I wanna go with Rookidee. sure did! now, when starting a new game, it'll ask whether you want to use the Classic or Expanded quiz. Classic is the one you can modify in the Starters menu under Lists in SkyTemple.
WindchildWhimsy Posted June 13 Author Posted June 13 please redownload if you already did! just made a small hotfix that gives Calyrex and the Charcadet and Rookidee lines proper stat growths. They would hit level 100 instantly but gain no stats before.
KusanagiRui Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM Posted Sunday at 07:59 PM Im having a slight issue where the map while inside the town and travelling to dungeons is always the future hidden land map, doesnt affect anything gameplay seemingly
cheese123 Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM Posted Sunday at 08:13 PM (edited) Hey, huge congrats on the release! Just a question- do all the new pokemon (or at least their family lines) have their own exclusive items? Can't find mention of that on your OP. Also while I'm at it, are evolutions gender locked if they are in normal pokemon? Am I able to have a female gallade, for instance? Thank you! p.s. I think it's really, really cool you were able to do this whole thing, I'm sure for many months it was very difficult to get this far, so really be proud of yourself for all this. And your profile pic is so cute! Edited Sunday at 08:14 PM by cheese123

sirenspells Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM Posted Sunday at 11:04 PM Hey, I started playing this new update a couple days ago! Some things I noticed so far were 1. when going down to the beach in chapter 3, I exited from the lower part of the map even when entering from the town (clarified the chapter number because I don’t know if this is different after you start finding bottles on the beach). 2. I checked with skytemple to see if Espurr’s portraits were updated, and found only the male one’s were, so female Espurr still has the old portraits. I easily fixed this myself with skytemple, but just letting you know in case this is a problem with other pokemon with updated portraits

Xenor Posted Monday at 04:19 PM Posted Monday at 04:19 PM Is it normal that nothing happens when changing Hoopa's form at the mirror? I got lucky and was able to recruit one, and the mirror appeared just now after I beat Grovyle at Crystal Crossing, but changing its form doesn't seem to do anything, even if I try saving and quitting to title or going into a dungeon. I got the most recent hotfix and am playing on Drastic emulator for Android. Recording at June15-060802PM.mp4
Luscinia Posted Monday at 07:38 PM Posted Monday at 07:38 PM Damn, no sig moves for Pokémon like Ceruledge or Meowscarada? Would Bitter Blade or Flower Trick be difficult to program in do you think?

EternalNeptunite Posted Monday at 11:44 PM Posted Monday at 11:44 PM On 8/27/2024 at 1:21 AM, WindchildWhimsy said: So this hack has been out for a few months but I've been putting off on posting it here for a while. But now that I've finished 1.1 with a slew of new features, I decided it was finally time! The goal of Explorers of Fortune was to add extra content and quality of life to Explorers of Sky as possible, while keeping the original's difficulty level and spirit! Sky was always a comfort game for me, so I didn't gel with similar hacks that focused more on difficulty. Thus I set out to create my own take on an expanded Sky, and I ended up very pleasantly surprised with the result! So without further ado... Story and characters: Reveal hidden contents -Archen from Super Mystery Dungeon appears as a regular townsperson! He'll give you hints towards a lot of the new features. -Postgame, a Sableye will appear in town. -A mysterious mirror will appear at the Crossroads. Inspect it to change certain Pokemon's forms. Postgame, you can get exchange a certain item with it in exchange for things like early evolution, dungeon unlocks, and even a special reward should you complete Special Episode 5 Ou< -After defeating Darkrai and unlocking the Marine Resort, partner up with Zacian to take down the Galarian Legendary Birds in a challenging 5-dungeon storyline! -Repair Original Color Magearna over the course of the game! When she's back online, she'll join your team, and each day, she'll hide in a random spot in town. Find her, and she'll reward you! -Fixed Corphish misgendering Mesprit QoL and features: Reveal hidden contents -The starter list has been greatly expanded! In addition to all the starters from Vanilla, none of which are gender-locked anymore, you can additionally choose from Alolan Vulpix, Galarian Ponyta, Ledyba, Litwick, Snivy, Sandshrew, Aron, Glameow, Oshawott, Petilil, Finneon, both normal and Hisuian Zorua, Hisuian Sneasel, Fennekin, Espurr, Amaura, Rowlet, Scorbunny, Swirlix, Mareep, Popplio, Deino, Rockruff, Pawniard, Machop, Cubone, Axew, Froakie, Alolan Sandshrew, Helioptile, Larvitar, Buneary, Houndour, Fuecoco, Sobble, Buizel, Quaxly, Sprigatito, Rufflet, Grookey, Tepig, Litten, Noibat, Charcadet, Chespin, Jangmo-o, Murkrow, Pidgey, Ralts, Elgyem, Wooloo, and Venipede! That's so many starters I had to split up the partner selection menu alone into Gen I-IV and Gen V-IX sections! -Yes, I did say CHOOSE. If you don't like what the quiz gave you, then you can freely select from the list of options for your gender! -If you're lucky, you'll get the chance to pick a Shiny starter from Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Snivy, Riolu, Ralts or Hisuian Zorua! If your hero's Shiny, you'll have a better chance of your partner getting the option to be Shiny, too! Happy hunting! -Additionally, your partner can now be the same type as you! -You can also choose whether to use the expanded quiz, or the classic one! The classic quiz is easily editable in SkyTemple, so pick this if you want to have custom starters! -Xatu now gives you the option to appraise all of your treasure boxes at once! -Tips have been disabled! -You can now press start to toggle complete team control! Coordinate against a boss or manage your team to get out of sticky situations! -Tired of all your main story recruits getting left in the dust? Worry no more, for Experience Share is here! All teammates will gain EXP, not just active ones! You will need to bring them into a dungeon for their level to refresh though. -Fairy type has been added, along with Fairy Gummis! -A handful of moves have been added! High Horsepower, Judgment, Dazzling Gleam, Moonblast, Fairy Wind, Disarming Voice, Play Rough, Ivy Cudgel, Fusion Bolt, Sacred Sword and Spirit Shackle have all been implemented! -Vacuum-Cut has been buffed to deal low but non-fixed damage, but in return the TM has been made much harder to come by. -Several Cafe-related changes! Spinda's drink-making animation has been shortened! Kangaskhan will now appear in the cafe, so you don't have to walk all the way across town! Lastly, IQ gains have been increased! Regular gummis now yield double the original value, and Nectar and Wonder Gummis will give you massive increases! -Rank points have been reworked to give a steadier curve. -One For All, All For One now plays during the graduation exam instead of The Gatekeepers -Text speed has been increased! -After recruiting Dialga, you can skip the Hidden Land and go straight to Temporal Tower! -Up for some gacha? Dracovish will appear on the path to the beach. Give him a rare Shiny Ticket, and he'll acquaint you with a random Shiny Pokemon! -As mentioned in the Story and Characters section, form changes have been added for several Pokemon. Some like Minior or Aegislash occur automatically in-dungeon, while others occur based on the dungeon itself, or can be toggled at the mirror. Mega Evolution and Primal Reversion are even available for a handful of Pokemon! These form changes come with innate hidden stat modifiers, to simulate their mainline stats! -A bunch of new abilities have been added! Enjoy Protean, Contrary, Defiant, Magician, Protosynthesis, Corrosion, Flower Veil, Infiltrator, Overcoat, Sand Rush, Sap Sipper, Sheer Force, Unnerve, Competitive, Slush Rush, and Moxie! Dungeons: Reveal hidden contents -Every dungeon with recruiting, and even some that don't, have at least one new Pokemon to be found! -Chimecho will give you a free Mystery Part when she opens her Assembly. All special encounters besides Darkrai can now happen regardless of story progress, so you can recruit some Legendaries before the credits. -Every dungeon that allows recruiting has a Shiny Pokemon to be found! They will tend to be a higher level than the surrounding Pokemon. Besides their coloration, they also have a different talk group ("personality") from their usual counterparts! A few dungeons even have multiple Shinies! Shinies are more common in Monster Houses, so keep an eye out for outlaws who hide in one! -You can revisit the future dungeons after recruiting Dialga! -Aegis Cave has been made a bit easier! Now, the essential Unown appear in Ice, Rock, and Steel Aegis Caves, while the rest appear in the Pit instead! -Eastern Forest is finally a real dungeon! -You can visit a special dungeon filled with Paradoxes by bringing a specific item to the end of Bottomless Sea. -Crystalline Maze has replaced World Abyss as a 7 Treasures dungeon. But don't worry, you can still unlock the latter by making progress in the mirror sidequest, and it has been revamped to be less of a Concealed Ruins clone! -Each Zero Isle has a special key somewhere on the penultimate floor! These can each unlock sections of the mysterious Zero Hoard... -Destiny Tower has been redone! Instead of a level 1 dungeon, it's now free-level vs powerful enemies in type-themed stretches a la Super Mystery Dungeon. At the top now awaits a powerful ally... -Oblivion Forest now allows recruitment. -Unlock Fairy Fortress, Astral Thicket, Chargestone Temple and Ultra Wilds through the mirror sidequest! -Hey, remember how you fell way down upon first entering Spacial Rift? And how Spacial Rift goes downwards? Now you can visit Upper Spacial Rift! -A smaller-scale level 1 dungeon has been added, Purity Grove! -A post-game sidequest will unlock Mystic Gorge, which is full of Psychic types! -Freedom Coast, a side dungeon from Super, has been added! -Occasionally in the postgame, you'll be able to visit Mirage Oasis, a strange desert dungeon chock full of treasure! -The Final Maze now has an extra reward at the end! -Take on Polar Point, Malice Woods, Rumble Badlands, Bygone Road, and the Fellspire alongside Zacian! These are long dungeons with tough foes and little food, so you'd best be well prepared before taking them on! Because when i do that and i patch again some problems that you have said in previous messages are fixed( future map on the top screen at all times) seem to persist.

TepigNinja Posted Tuesday at 10:32 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:32 PM (edited) Hey so first, congrats on the release! Glad you finally managed to finish it! I decided to start over so I could run Tepig and a shiny Ralts as my partner, but I ran into a bit of a problem with the expanded personality quiz. I got the option to choose a shiny pokemon for my main character, and no matter if I pick a shiny or a normal pokemon, it endlessly loops back to asking me to pick a shiny pokemon. Has this been addressed? I downloaded the patch sometime I sunday, which im aware you already had a couple hotfixes at that point. Edit: I should probably add that I got normal Zorua as my starter (Impish nature? I think?) Dunno if its related to the loop im having. I did update my game to the patch that was released on monday after running into this bug, yet to be offered a chance to be a shiny yet though. Lol Edited Wednesday at 02:54 AM by TepigNinja clarifying bug details
Xenor Posted Tuesday at 10:43 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:43 PM (edited) Even after having recruited Dialga, the mirror doesn't have any options available other than changing legendary / mythic pokemon forms. Does this not count as postgame yet? Edit: Forgot to mention at first, but it did tell me about the Time Cogs the very first time I interacted with it after Crystal Crossing, if that matters.
