I wish to edit my save file to have the exact same TID/SID across generations (It simply makes me happy without other benefits)

I read some topics saying that there could be legality issues if I were to transfer my pokemon from older generations to newer generations, mainly because it's practically impossible to have exact TID/SID across generations.

Example: "Invalid: Current handler cannot be past gen OT for transferred specimen"

Is this still a thing? If so, will PKhex give all my transfered pokemon warnings like the above example?

Thanks in advance!

Without cheating, how are you going to get the same TID/SID on Gen6+ games?

That makes sense, but I still wish to know does that effect actual gameplay in anyway?

The current handler won't update to the correct value as you previously mentioned, so any friendship and memory updates will be directed to the OT fields, which isn't legal for anything pre-Gen6 or cross-gen exclusive memories. The Pokemon also won't be considered as traded for the EXP gain in battle.

So if I transfer a pokemon from gen8 to gen9, the game will actually treat the current handler in gen9 as the OT, correct?
