pkhex and pokemon sun and moon

hey guys, I've just pulled my Pokémon sun save data from the cartridge with the intent to mod it a fair bit but I cant get the save file into pkhex, its a single .sav file and it wont go into pkhex, I cant find any tutorials to fix it so thought I should ask here.

Make sure to have saved ingame twice and that it's been properly extracted via Checkpoint or JKSM/JKSV.

If you are moving the savefile via FTP, also make sure your client is set to Binary mode, not ASCII, as ASCII will cause corruption.
