PkHex not working with No$GBA (tried common fixes online already)

Okay, I konw there are multiple posts about it, but I can't get mine to work. I'm getting the typical errors one gets when using a No$GBA .SAV with PkHex and everyone says it works after changing the SAV type to RAW. After doing this do I have to start a new game or something? Because my existing .SAV file still does not work. I'm not sure what else to try.

No, you just need to save in game and export the full save file correctly. Compressed save files or save states are not raw save files that save editors can recognize.
