On an emulator, can you change the time for R/S/E

If I wanted to play the game and use a rom on an emulator to do it instead of using the actual cartridge, is there a way to change the time so that you can make the tide at Shoal Cave go down and access it? I can only play at specific times because I just started a new job.

Pretty sure the time in the games is based on your device's time, so you'd have to change that
