betrai49
Hello, Game: Pokemon Platinum I'm using pkhex to edit the IVs of my Pokemon (both starter and wild caught pokemon), which involved the process of changing PID (otherwise the tool show illegal). After using RNG to find the suitable PID to make the Pokemon legal and successfully imported the save file to the game, they become disobey to me. Which I presume because somehow in the backend they are now not my OT pokemon anymore? (Yes they're overleveled compare to my number of badges) Is this assumption correct or is there anything wrong with my steps? p/s: idk why the tool ask for corresponding PID with this game, I didnt have any problem while editing pokemon Omega ruby save before. betrai49
I found out why. The reason is because my trainer name include the male symbol ♂ When you edit the Pokemon and import the save back into the game , this symbol become slightly different from the original, I realize this while comparing the OT name field between the untouched caught Pokemon and the edited Pokemon in the game I used Pkhex to change the trainer name and the OT name(removing the symbol) in Pokemons' settings and the problem is now resolved. I'd recommend anyone who want to use Pkhex for Pokemon Platinum to avoid using special symbols in your Trainer name.
theSLAYER
@Kaphotics user inadvertently reported that Gen 4 gender symbol in OT is slightly different.
