I want to add in event items in my Pearl game

Greetings,

Me and a bunch of friends have started a replay of the Gen 4 games because of nostalgia. I read about the events Gen 4 used to have (Azure Flute, Oaks Letter etc) and I would like to edit my savegame (it's a physical card) and add these items in. I own a dongle, a PowerSave 3DS one. I have searched about a bit about how to alter saves, and most websites say a dongle is neccesary, but I don't know at all what to do after I put my Pearl in the dongle. I don't know how to open the save in PKHeX (happened to read about this).

Dump your save to your PC and you can inject wondercards (available here) into your save. That is if you're looking for a quicker way without internet connection.

Yeah that's exactly my question. How do I dump it? I put the card into the dongle, then what?

Didn't the dongle come with instructions? As far as I know, it should have a driver. I can't really tell fully as I dump my saves using my DS Lite.

Well it's a Powersave dongle, so I can attach it but not much else happens. I read on the internet a powersave dongle is fine but I need some sort of software as well I'd take it.
